Our AGM and June Monthly Meet Up online event will take place from: 6pm-7:30pm on Thursday 25th June. We invite our members to join us as we review the past year's finances and activities, elect our new committee members and share further plans for our 30th anniversary year.

After the official business is concluded, we'll enjoy time for networking in breakout rooms and we'll be launching our awards categories for 2026. It's an evening of catching up with familiar faces and meeting new contacts from right across Scotland. If you've never been along before, we can't wait to welcome you and share more on the exciting plans we have for the ASB in 2026 and beyond.

As a reminder, this is a member only event, so if you're not a member yet, there's never been a better time to join! See our website for further details. If you have a local Affiliate Group listed, note that joining that group will include your ASB membership at no extra cost.

A simple way to support Fife Women in Business - if you’re reviewing your household bills

As you will have read in our recent newsletter, we’re pleased to introduce a new, optional way for members and our wider community to support Fife Women in Business.

We’ve partnered with one of our members, Fiona Cobban, to explore the Utility Warehouse (UW) Connector programme - a way to generate a small contribution for FWB when people choose to explore savings in their utility services.

If you’re ever looking at your household costs, Fiona can talk through your current setup with you (this usually takes around 20 minutes and can be done by video call) and email you the details afterwards, so you can consider everything in your own time - there’s no obligation at all.

Many households may also see savings of around £300–£500 per year, depending on their current arrangements.

If you do decide to go ahead, FWB receives a contribution of £25–£150, helping to support our events, networking and development opportunities across the community.

Applications are now open for the 2026–27 Building Improvement Grants in Dunfermline City Centre and Kirkcaldy Town Centre.

Businesses and property owners can apply for grant funding to support improvements to commercial properties, including shopfront improvements, internal refits, energy efficiency measures, property conversion projects and bringing vacant units back into productive use.

Grants of £1,000 to £5,000 are available, covering up to 90% of eligible project costs.

Priority will be given to applicants who have recently acquired or taken tenancy of a previously vacant unit.

Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis until fully allocated. Project spend and claims must be complete by 31 March 2027.

Last Thursday, members of FIFE WOMEN IN BUSINESS and Edinburgh Businesswomen's Club enjoyed a joint networking lunch at Canmore House Hotel, Dunfermline.

It was a lovely afternoon of good food, great conversations and making new connections. We were also delighted to be joined by Carolyn Currie MBE, CEO of Women's Enterprise Scotland, and Delia Smith-Bucur, Chair of Women Ahead Dundee and Angus.

These opportunities to come together, share experiences and support one another are what women's networks are all about.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make it such an enjoyable afternoon.

A lovely evening at our AGM held on Tuesday 12th May at Fife College as we welcomed and announced the newly elected committee members for the year ahead.

Congratulations to Heather Warner, Kelly Devlin, Tracey Bork, Amanda Little, Temitope Ajayi-Salami, Danaka Grindle, Lynda Scrimger, Caz Torres, Elaine Cormack and Heather Pownall. Looking forward to another year of collaboration, growth and supporting women in business across Fife.

We also had the pleasure of hearing from our guest speaker, Vikki Bruce of Maclean & Bruce, who shared valuable insights during the evening.
