Thinking about popping along to one of our Sewcial meets? A bit unsure about what to bring with you? A bit anxious about joining a new group? Anxious about meeting new people? 🪡🧵

Here's a wee guide to help you come along.
We meet at Abbeyview Community Hub which has disabled access and great staff. First night is free, thereafter £5 (cash). 🪡🧵

You just need to bring yourself. Some people bring a sewing machine and we have group machines. Some people bring projects they are working on but we also do community projects and have demonstrations.

Every single one of us was anxious when we first started and probably still are. We aim to make you feel welcomed and included. It is very hard starting something new but we can assure you it will get easier. Just take the first step and we will hold your hand the rest of the way. 🪡🧵

We have tea and biscuits and some great stories. This Thursday we are being left unsupervised as our head honchos are away but that only means it will be chaos and fun!
We are working on community projects and there's a list somewhere ... Come along, see what we are all about, ask us questions and have a great time.

On our travels today we stumbled across the most perfect craft shop in Cupar. Mc Oyster Paper Crafts at Poles Apart is a must stop on the road and let us tell you how great it was. We picked up some cute fabric but they have an array of goods for all sorts of crafts from paper crafts, needle felting, crochet,knitting and most importantly sewing.
Most importantly they are absolutely lovely people and very welcoming. We're really regretting not accepting that cup of tea that was offered.
Get on the road and visit this absolute gem of a shop. Thank you for making our visit so lovely and we'll be back next Friday with a list 🪡🧵

They sell second hand books and even have a café! Along with second hand books they sell a small selection of new books, fairtrade items and crafts by local makers. Pop in and see them when you are up the high street next. We think they have a fabulous shop and café. 🪡🧵

They are a charity who help over 60's with isolation and companionship. Why not pop in the next time you are on the high street. 🪡🧵

No class tonight but don't worry there is class next week. And the best news? The head honchos are away on their holibobs so we get the group all to ourselves.
We have been given a list of what we need to do but if anyone knows us, we seldom remember we have lists never mind follow them. 🪡🧵

Jill is the designated sensible adult, and Kirsty is just there to float around, chatting and remind everyone that we have a raffle and tea. We will have an absolute ball of a night! Cat and Isobel have no need to worry 😁🪡🧵
