Another food bank drop off completed, with photos attached from this Saturday.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated food, money, or their time. Your generosity is making a real difference and is very much appreciated.

The food bank team mentioned that they are consistently short of soup and tinned meat, so these items are especially helpful.

📍 Where to give food:

St Salvador’s Church – Sat & Wed mornings

Asda Myrekirk – place items in the St Salvador’s trolley

The Maxwell Centre – Mon–Fri, label donations “For St Salvador’s”

🙏 Thank you to everyone who’s already donated to St Salvador's Food Bank - your kindness really matters. 💛

⚠️ Right now our shelves are almost empty. Every Sunday (1-2 PM at the Maxwell Centre, Hilltown) we provide emergency food to people in real need, but supplies are running out.

🛒 How to help:

Drop off at St Salvador's Church (Sat/Wed mornings)

Leave items at Asda Myrekirk in the St Salvador's trolley

Take to the Maxwell Centre (Mon-Fri, working hours - label "For St Salvador's")

Local Templeton Woods drop-off: Kenny 07703 578037 / Mandy 07731 710008

💚 Even £2 of food = a hot meal:
Spaghetti (28p) + Tinned Meatballs (90p) + Potatoes (39p) + Veg (60p)

For less than a coffee, you can feed a family.

Together we can make sure no one in our community goes hungry. Thank you. 💛

Off to drop this off soon. You've all done brilliantly again this fortnight. We'll be delivering leaflets to the homes near us, hoping to eventually collect a weekly load. We're doing so well as a small group, and you should all be proud. Some donations this week were lovely wrapped Christmas presents (thank you, Wendy!).

Not long until Christmas now—fingers crossed we can go into the season with plenty of full packets. Thank you all so much.

A little low on tinned soup and meat this week, but loving the contributions 😀

Thank You for Your Support!

Over the last couple of weeks, thanks to donated items and money, we've been able to put together the collection you see in the photo. (This photo doesn't include the Asda Myrekirk contribution, which unfortunately isn't doing as well.)

Even small weekly contributions make a big difference. Tins, pasta, long-life milk, toiletries, and other essentials help us keep the cupboard stocked for everyone who relies on it.

We're also running low on clothing, so if you have good-quality clothes you no longer need, they would be greatly appreciated.

Every donation counts — thank you so much for helping us support our community.

🚨 Food Bank Crisis – We Need Your Help Now 🚨

We’ve just learned that St Salvador’s Food Bank has run out of funds used to top up weekly donations. A £500 charity gift will only last 4–5 weeks.

If you can help — with food or a small money donation — please reach out.
Even a few pounds can help feed a family. 🙏 PLEASE READ FULL POST BELOW!

💛 FUNDS HAVE RUN DRY - St Salvador’s Food Bank 💛

We’ve just dropped off the latest collection and learned that St Salvador’s has now run out of the funds they use to top up weekly food donations.

They’ve been given a £500 lifeline from a local charity, but that will only keep things going for around 4–5 weeks – after that, supplies will run dangerously low again.

We’re asking for your help. 🙏

If you’re unable to drop off food, please consider a small weekly money donation instead. Even a few pounds can help put food on someone’s table. 💚

💙 A Huge Thank You & A Little Shout-Out 💙

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported our food cupboard recently - the last drop-off was an amazing one and we couldn't do this without you! 🙏

At the moment, our Asda Myrekirk (Dundee) drop-off point is struggling a bit. If you, your family, or friends shop there, we'd be so grateful if you could spare a few pounds to pop an item or two into our trolley.

There are three trolleys at Asda, each for different places — ours is marked St Salvador's. Every tin, packet, or donation makes a real difference to local people in need. 🛒✨

Thank you, as always, for standing with us. Your kindness really does change lives. 💙

🌟 A Little Help Goes a Long Way 🌟

Our shelves are looking a little bare, and we need your help to keep our community fed. Every tin, every packet, every donation makes a real difference to a family who might otherwise go without a meal. ❤️

If you're able, please consider dropping off:
🥫 Canned goods (soup, beans, vegetables, fruit)
🍝 Pasta, rice, noodles
🍪 Biscuits, cereal, long-life snacks
🍼 Baby food, nappies, toiletries

No contribution is too small - together, we can make sure no one in our community goes hungry.

🌟 You can make a difference this week:

•St Salvador's Church: Drop off Wed/Sat mornings

•Asda Myrekirk: Use the St Salvador's trolley

•Maxwell Centre: Mon-Fri (working hours, label "For St Salvador's")

•Templeton Woods collection: Call/text Kenny (07703 578037) or Mandy (07731 710008)

Thank you for being part of the kindness that keeps our shelves - and hearts - full. 💕

💛 A huge thank you to everyone who has donated to St Salvador's Food Bank over the past two weeks. Here's a look at the incredible support we've received — every tin, packet, and bag makes a real difference to families in need.

Your kindness is what keeps our shelves stocked and our doors open. Together, we're making sure no one in our community goes hungry. 🌟

If you'd like to help, we're in need of donations - big or small, they all add up to meals and hope.

From all of us at St Salvador's: thank you for caring. 💚
