Grey Lodge Settlement Charity Ball Saturday 6th June 2026

As part of our fundraising for this event we offer people the opportunity to win a prize from our "corner box prizes. See photo to see what you could win. Only £1 per little brown envelope.

If you are not attending the Ball but would still like to win you can drop into Grey Lodge before 5.00pm on Friday 5th June and purchase as many envelopes as you want. Just ask any member of staff, and don't worry we have lots of pound coins for you to purchase.

A nice little day out for the Thursday Open Door Bus with a trip to Forfar and going for a little detour to Letham to see a couple Highland cows on the way back to Dundee.

Another?....another!....yes, you are right. It is!
A rare blog from Alan, as he gets older and older....

So what is happening? It matters not...when we have VAR to fall back on, as a final line of defence....or attack, whichever suits the prevailing wind at the time!!

But seriously, the Settlement is going along well at the moment. Support continues to be incredible...and very much appreciated.

Events are well attended. Projects are sound and secure. Funding is there...and thereabouts.

But talking about Fundraising...After our very successful March 2026 jailbreak, the next fun thing on the agenda is our Annual Charity Ball, to be held in the Apex City Quay Hotel on Saturday June 6th. Over 240 tickets have been sold for one of the "Hottest/Sought After Events on the Dundee Calendar!!

Well, it’s that time of year again! My goodness, it comes around fast!

Grey Lodge Settlement will be holding its 12th Annual Fundraising Ball at the Apex on Saturday 6th June, 7pm until Midnight.

Ticket sales are going extremely well. We currently only have 6 to 10 tickets available should you wish to come along and join in the fun.

Finally, an update from Alan!

Well, Jen, the Team and myself have been working ever so hard these past months. Fundraising efforts have gone ever so well, so a huge THANK YOU to EVERYONE, who has contributed. It is really really appreciated.

After 3 years, following the DCC annihilation of funds to the Settlement in February 2023, the Charity has got back on track financially. The future is much more secure and therefore some exciting initiatives are being planned, not least of which is the eagerly awaited Youth Exchange Project with Kyrgyzstan in July/August this Summer. The young people (and families/friends) have been raising funds through the Jailbreak March 2026 event, and this has given them a sense of achievement and ownership of the Project. Well done all you people…..not forgetting the Staff and other Jailbreak Participants….and Dundee Rotary Club/Camperdown Lodge 317/Graeme Jenkins and Cycling Team….and Gift Aid!!

There is much more positivity to report….But….I sense you are fed up of read, read, reading!!

Grey Lodge Settlement would like to thank Ardler Complex Local Management Group for their very kind donation on of blue mattress for use of by our Playgroup and Afterschool Club. Our children are very pleased with them and getting much use of them.

We are genuinely overwhelmed. With such incredible support, we have made our £20,000 target….plus a little more!!

We would all like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to our Friends and Supporters!! You never cease to amaze us with your generosity and support. Our Dundee Community sure is a ‘GID ANE’!!

Grey Lodge Settlement is now 138 years old and it’s still going strong. A large part of the reason for this is because of you, members of the public, who believe in us and believe in what we do and stand for.

We are forever grateful to each and every one of you!!

DAY 7 of 7 - It’s the final push to try to get closer to our goal. One last push for our organisation which has been supporting our Dundonian Community since 1888!
