Dundee Pensioners Forum We campaign for a better deal for all older people, hoping to secure a fairer society, based on social justice and equality for all.

Dundee Pensioners Florum aims are:
To advance pensioners' rights and welfare and to educate and unite pensioners in order to present a collective voice to government and other authorities on matters affecting retired people. We believe that older people and those living on a low income should not have to suffer by bearing the brunt of any economic crisis. We campaign for the abolition of means tes

ting and the provision to all pensioners of a LIVING PENSION above the UK's own poverty level (Basic pension of £178.00 per week - 2015 figure). We campaign for a guarantee of a triple lock system with the Retail Price Index or the Consumer Price Index, whichever is the greater, to work alongside earnings, as the measure on which pensions are based yearly. We campaign for the NHS to be retained in public hands. We oppose cut backs in Sheltered Housing Warden Services. We support a regular increase in Winter Fuel Allowance. We oppose unqualified staff being called upon to deliver specialised work in Care Homes. We support suitably qualified adapted transport to meet the demands of elderly and people with disabilities.

We stand in solidarity with our neighbours, with migrants, with all groups targeted by the far-right. We fight for jobs, homes and services for all and we will not let fear and hatred claim our streets. Join us to defend our city and diversity.
