Another happy bunch of youngsters, our second group of garden clubbers have had a fun and very busy couple of days. πŸ›πŸπŸ„ Mark was in today creating a stop motion story using a potato and a pear 🀣 πŸ₯”πŸwith some imagination from our group they have begun filming. We can’t wait to see how this progresses with Marks expertise.
Thanks to our youth volunteers, Arianna, Lexi and Layla. We are so lucky to have you all.
Messy times were had, a bit of digging, planting, harvesting and cooking lunches. Thanks to Dundee Bairns for support to allow us to buy our lunchtime ingredients.
Oh and who is that in disguise on the last pic??!! 🀣 thank you all. πŸπŸ›πŸ„β€οΈπŸ₯•πŸŽπŸΈ

Our final holiday garden club of 2026 has begun😊Fun, Friends and Fresh Food. We have enjoyed our time with our first group of the holidays, we found lots of garden residents, with some getting ready for hibernation like the big frog 🐸 in the compost heap and wee ladybirds 🐞 huddled together in a sunflower 🌻 stem. Save yourself time and energy and leave your garden a bit less tidy through the winter. Lots of creatures can stay cosy throughout using leaf piles, plant stalks and stick piles. πŸπŸπŸπŸ›πŸŒ Thanks as ever to Dundee Bairns for our food funding, as you can see it is spent well to make our tasty lunches.
Thanks to our youth volunteers, Catriona and Poppy too, you were great. See you all soon. πŸ₯°πŸ„πŸ„

Another fantastic Friday, we enjoyed a homemade lunch of humous, carrot salad, potato salad, roasted vegetables and pitta bread followed by apple crumble and custard. The apples were from The Maxwell garden and the roasted veg made with produce from the fantastic gleaning project from Transition Dundee and FareShare. Huge thanks to our volunteers, you are all amazing. πŸ§„πŸŽπŸ…πŸŒΆοΈπŸ†πŸ₯¦
