Following their recent “charity prison break”, Rotarians Jackie, Tim and Dai popped into Grey Lodge Settlement yesterday for a well-earned cuppa, cake, and to top up the amount previously donated!

After our Tim gave a talk to Dundee’s 41 Club, about the prison break experience , members there kindly dug deep to further support this fantastic cause.

Grey Lodge main man Alan Duncan was delighted to receive another boost to the fundraising - and of course we’re thrilled to say the grand total handed over now stands at an amazing £3555! 🎉👏

At yesterday’s weekly meeting, we were treated to the vocational talk of Rotarian Maita Crowe — and what a reminder it was of the incredible talent hiding in plain sight around our club tables!

Maita shared her impressive experience in strategic leadership, business development, market expansion, building sales operations, and, in her own words, “anything and everything sales.” After listening to her, some of us were ready to sign a contract for something… we’re just not sure what yet!

Her talk was engaging, insightful, and confirmed just how fortunate we are to have such talented and experienced members in our club. The challenge for the rest of us now is to make the best use of all that expertise for the benefit of our communities!

We were delighted to welcome James Nairne, Northwood Ecosystems Rewilding Network Manager as our guest speaker at this week’s Rotary Club of Dundee meeting.

James delivered a fascinating talk on rewilding our countryside, sharing insights into its importance for biodiversity and the future of our natural landscapes. The presentation sparked great interest among members and led to a lively Q&A session with plenty of thoughtful questions.

✨ Valuation Day is off to a flying start! ✨
The doors are open, the treasures are rolling in, and the mysteries of Dundee’s attics are being revealed one by one.

Anita Manning has already welcomed our early arrivals — along with their heirlooms, curiosities, and the occasional “I’m not sure what this is, but my aunt swore it was valuable” item. The valuers are in full swing, and we’ve already seen everything from sparkling jewellery to wonderfully odd curios.

If you’re still polishing your pieces or negotiating with the loft for one last box, don’t worry — there’s plenty of time to join us.

Warmest congratulations again to Rotary Club of Claverhouse on their 50th Anniversary! 🥂 It is wonderful to see their milestone featured so prominently in today’s Dundee Courier, including a fantastic front-page photograph featuring our own Past Presidents Andy Argo and Clive Murray. The press coverage rightly highlights Claverhouse’s incredible achievement of raising £800,000 for good causes over the past five decades. We are proud to stand alongside such a dedicated club and celebrate their half-century of making a profound difference in our community. Well done, Claverhouse! 👏✨

Huge congratulations to the Rotary Club of Claverhouse on hitting the big 5-0! 🎉

A fantastic time was had by all last night at the Apex Hotel—great company, plenty of laughs, and a highly entertaining talk from Dundee Rotary Club Past President David Adam.

Here’s to 50 years of service, friendship, and making a difference—and to the next 50 years being just as inspiring, productive and fun.
