Congratulations to Alan Brydon BEM, a well-known composer and songwriter, who was awarded the BEM in the 2026 New Year's Honours List for services to music in Hawick. He performed at the 2024 Angus, Perthshire & Fife Festival of Remembrance in the Caird Hall in Dundee. He is a very active supporter of veterans and is a regular performer in the Poppyscotland Band Tour concerts.
