2026 is going to be an exciting year for young people to have their voices heard. Here’s why:

1. We are publishing the Dundee Youth Council Manifesto. This will outline ambitious, youth-led calls for action to build a better Dundee. These will be shared directly with local decision-makers.

2. The Scottish Parliament Elections are taking place in May. This is when the public choose which MSPs they want to represent them in Holyrood. For thousands of young people across Dundee, it will be the first time they are old enough to vote.

3. Towards the end of the year the Scottish Youth Parliament Elections are happening. Young people aged between 12 and 25 will put themselves forward as candidates to represent their peers. This is a great opportunity to gain new skill and meet different people from across Scotland.
