26th Dundee Scout Group

Last night our Scout section visited Campy Growers at Camperdown Park to learn about the garden and lend a helping hand where possible.

The Scouts enjoyed learning all about the plants growing in the garden, the animals and bugs that help the plants and also about the biodiversity in and around the garden.

The Scouts mucked in and helped with various tasks across the garden, weeding, bug relocation, garden cultivating and a few dirt fights!

We want to say a massive thank you to the incredible Lucy and Nadege at Campy Growers for having us for the evening!

2 weeks ago saw 16 of our Cubs compete in the Dundee District Cub Flag 2026. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏕️

All Cubs showed great determination and our Monday A and Friday team came away with joint 2nd place (one point off of 1st!! 🤩) and our Monday B coming in 4th place (1 point off of 3rd!!) so an incredibly close competition!

All of our Cubs should be incredibly proud of their effort and behaviour throughout the camp, they showed respect and kindness to other Cubs and Leaders, made lots of new friends and reconnected to other Cubs they know from other events, really makes us value being involved in the Dundee District. 🫶 roll on next year 😃

Congratulations to our incredible Scouts! District Flag winners another year running🎉🥳
A great testament to the hard work the Scouts put in across our sessions and camps throughout the year.

Also a massive thank you to the district and all leaders for hosting a great event!

During the term our Scouts worked towards completing their electronics badge with the huge help from our leader Adam.
The Scouts had the opportunity to under stand the theory behind the electronics, build multiple circuits, create functioning tools and learn how to wire and operate a ticket turnstile.
These activities were just some of the fun tasks and badges achieved this term.

Next term we will be looking to the lighter evenings for an outdoor packed programme.

This weekend 5 of our Scouts participated in the Survival Skills weekend at Meggernie! It was a great weekend full of skill building!
