Lochee Community Group The spirit of Lochee Community Group lives on in our online community.

Main aims: to avoid goods going to landfill; to refurbish & pass on where needed.
*In non covid times* we accept donations of all household goods & hold pop up sales. At its height LCG ran a community warehouse in the former Levi's factory (now demolished), alongside Taught By Muhammad foodbank, Dundee Refugee Support and others. LCG provided thousands of pieces of furniture and household items t

o those in need, at low or no cost. We are proud to have worked through Covid answering appeals for help from third sector agencies and individuals. Volunteers also ran sewing, gardening and vehicle maintenance classes as well as the successful Low Cost Home Improvement Project. We continue to share news, money saving tips, ways to reduce waste and things that make us smile.

*IMPORTANT*

Because of the Met Office issued Amber Weather Warning for tomorrow, Friday 24th January 2025, regarding high winds, Dundee and Angus foodbank will not be opening. This includes the Arbroath and Forfar distribution centres, as well as Dundee.

If clients are expecting to collect a parcel in Arbroath or Forfar tomorrow, then if they are able, they are more than welcome to come to Dundee this afternoon (Thursday 23rd), before 4pm instead.

Please pass this message on to anyone who may need to know.

The community cafe will also be closed.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but we are not taking any risks when it comes to the safety of our clients, volunteers and staff.
