GlowsCrafts

GlowsCrafts Volunteer, highly experienced, craft teacher in Dundee. Hand/machine knitwear & clothing trained designer.

Expert candle maker, paper crafter, patchwork, screen-printing. Mental health trained, trauma aware, live with FND so crafting is my therapy! I pray and instill positive loving energy from my heart chakra into everything I create. In turn this energy within my Angel Prayer Comforts triggers healing within for the recipient. I customize these to my customers needs and requirements. Guided by Archan

gel Raphael I am able to tune in to where the illness originates from. and direct my prayers and positive energy to where it is required. I hold an image of the recipient being happy and healthy while I work also. My Comforts also incorporate colour therapy and also sensory perception because of the touch and warmth felt when wrapped in an Angel Prayer Comfort. Some of the feed back I have had from those that I have made my Angelic Prayer Comforts for in the past say they feel like they are being held and enveloped in love.

Are you or someone you know looking for an affordable studio space? ArtAntics have studios available to rent. This is where I have my new shared studio. I am very happy to be part of the friendly supportive creative community there plus this has the added bonus of being just across the road from the ScrapAntics scrap store!

There are meet-ups where we are creative together while having a chat in the shared large area as well as a monthly committee meeting so you can find out the latest goings on and be able to express yourself. I’ve never had this with my other studio’s in Dundee.

Artist studio spaces available to rent. Join our vibrant and friendly community of artists based in Dundee, close to the city centre.

Check out what’s on during the Play festival in Dundee. Play is not just for kids. As adults we need to have some fun time too or time to be creative. It’s in those moments and hours of fun, joy and creativity your nervous system isn’t running the show. Play is very underrated!

🌟Where: Boomerang Community Centre 10 Kemback St, Dundee DD4 6ET
🫶Free and all welcome ❤️
☕Activities and food provided 🎨

We will be concluding this project by celebrating with a reveal of the garden space and fence, creative nature based activities for all ages. Including mask making, garden creatures, seed balls, and more!

While also exploring how all humans and nature are interconnected and how our stories through the magic of art, nature, and play are powerful reminders of survival and resilience, even on our doorsteps.
How big and small acts of helping each grow can create brave and playful change in our communities together.

We are Brave by nature, so lets play! 🎉🌈❤️🌼🎨🫶

I’m facilitating my first workshop for Re/shape next Tuesday 2nd June from 14.30-16-30pm at ScrapAntics in the Wellgate in Dundee.

Learn the technique of wet felting while creating your own OOAK felted soap bar. They are biodegradable as well as being gently exfoliating. The wooly blanket of felted sheep’s fleece encasing your bar of soap means you can use every last bit of soap.

Everything is provided however if you have scraps of pure wool yarn left over from your projects this can also be incorporated in your blend of merino wool.

Booking is via ScrapAntics.

In loving memory of Yara I’m fundraising for All Dogs & Cat Rescue Scotland on Saturday 16th May with 50% of my profit going to ADCRS. All of my hand screen printed tops and vests are limited edition as usually I don’t do craft fairs anymore. Sizes available- babies vests from 3-12 months, children’s up to 6 years and adults vest and t-shirts. Some of the adult t-shirts I have available are pre loved by my mum which I have screen printed on. I’m keeping the one I’m wearing in the photo for me. Adult sizes from size 8-20. Much more designs available than in the photos. Also available are screen printed cotton shopper bags, this includes Halloween themed ones with bats on it!

I will also have some little handmade bags with little gifts in them as well as a wild flower seed kit.

I have a lot more to do to today to ensure I am ready for tomorrow and social media posts don’t come easy for me. My printer is acting up which I really do not need right now and I still have a load of t-shirts to heat set. These items are only available at this fair in Carnoustie and not online. Mannequin was from ScrapAntics and they have more for sale.

On Thursday afternoons I am now based at the craft table in ScrapAntics They are on the top floor of the Wellgate shopping centre 12-3pm. Lunch is available for free as well as a limited amount of food bags.

This week I am leading at the craft table with a yarn theme workshop. If you’re wanting to learn how to crochet, hand knit or even weaving this is the week to go! Activities at the craft table vary from week to week. Note however there is always a yarn basket out, knitting needles and crochet hooks available to use at another table while the main activity takes place. ScrapAntics have various craft themes supplies which includes papercrafts, jewelery making, sewing etc. One of the other volunteers will be doing a wood whittling session soon. ScrapAntics is a drop in centre so there is no need to book for Thursday’s and no referral is needed for help with food, toiletries or clothing.
