Graham's Kitchen

Graham's Kitchen Graham’s Kitchen was started by Graham Livingstone and has been running every Saturday night for 12 years.

Graham’s Kitchen runs every Saturday night (7:30pm - 9:00pm) Dundee city centre ♥

We serve hot food and drinks and offer friendship and support to those in need, meeting behind the Overgate multi-storey car park ☕ 🍴

No referral needed, just turn up 🫶 On the night numbers vary and we are now routinely seeing around 30-40 people. Limited funding covers the volunteers preparing and serving hot foo

d such as mince/vegetables or pastas and soups as well as offering hot drinks, sandwiches, fruit, and snacks. The groups are also dependant on local donations and currently 3 Greggs stores donate left over food on the Saturday (or Friday) which is picked up by the volunteers. Broughty Ferry
Strathmartine Road
Dunsinane

Any food left over on the night is donated various places such as Lily Walker Centre, Jericho House and The Salvation Army. The service is self-funding and self-supporting

We also have requests for sleeping bags, blankets, clothes, gloves/hats, and other items of clothing and hygiene products such as Toothpaste/toothbrushes/deodorant/shower gels etc. Currently we have 5 teams which operate each Saturday and each team takes turn about to provide the service which is completely volunteered in their own time. Greville Ramsay, who is part of the Cathedral team, has been involved for just under 3 years now and says it is immensely fulfilling and feels very privileged to be able to help some of the neediest people in the city. He says “As you can imagine the people who come along are very much at rock bottom and many are addicts, often with mental health issues. They tend to be very appreciative and although the food is important, they mostly benefit from being treated as human beings.”

So much happens behind the scenes, and it’s your commitment, teamwork, and dedication that make it all possible.

The Cathedral Team were on last night

We had 37 guests who came along for the usual mince and tatties, tea/coffee biscuits etc.

We also had the great pleasure of the support of the Guru Nanak Gurdwara Dundee who provided an absolutely delicious vegetable curry and rice which was very much appreciated by all the guests.

A huge thank you to my team and we look forward to our next turn in a few weeks.

Our friends will be joining us this Saturday ❤️

After a few weeks when numbers seemed to be decreasing last night was busier for the Cathedral Team.

We had about 35 guests including, as normal, a number of new faces.

The menu consisted of the usual mince and tatties and a donation of rolls, cakes and fruit by members of the congregation.

With the donations and those of Greggs we were able to make 60 takeaway bags all of which were handed out.

We had a very good team of volunteers including

Graham, Chris, Gabrielle, Mairi and Barry, Maria and new volunteers Anna-Louica and her Mum

Another successful evening last night for Graham’s Kitchen.

It was a little quieter than usual, as The Garden Team fed around twenty people, mince and potatoes which Maureen kindly made.

A huge thanks to our faithful volunteers, Mary, Gail, Eric, Maureen and Graham who fed and watered our lovely guests.

We had some Greggs goodies to take away, and Nicoll's Rosebank Bakery also supported us with a generous donation of pizza’s.

A huge thanks to everyone who gives there time to support our great cause, and if anyone would like to volunteer or donate, please get in touch.

Big love and please keep supporting this great cause 🫶🫶

Vineyard Team last night.

There were just over 40 people who attended last night.

The food on offer was Pasta Bolognese served by some amazing volunteers.

We received a couple of trays of pies and sausage rolls from Greggs donations that were handed out along with cakes from Nicoll's Rosebank Bakery which we made up in takeaway bags along with some crisps and a chocolate bar.

Thanks again to all volunteers 👍
