We were also happy to provide raffle prizes to Monifieth Athletic Yellows 2011’s for their fundraising night.

It has been a tough start to our year, we have literally been in survival mode since New Year, but I am happy to say that today we managed to give out our first funding.
We have donated £500 to Fairmuir U18s “ᵀʰᵉ ᵀᵃⁿˢ” to help them through the season.

Funding continues, this time our neighbours Wellbeing Works Dundee. We have contributed £300 towards a festive meal for their participants. The festive season can be particularly challenging for those with mental health issues as feelings of social isolation, increased financial pressures and unrealistic expectations can exacerbate their struggles. A facilitated Christmas outing will help alleviate feelings of isolation, low self esteem and social inadequacy that may arise at this time.

This week we celebrate 5 years as Dundee Community Grants.
I started this project after covid closed down my previous shop.
I knew we had built up a great business as the previous charity so came up with the idea of a shop where the profits go to help local groups, charities and good causes and I made that dream come true. It wasn't always easy, 2 months after opening we were closed down again with the second lockdown, but we got through it and here we are 5 years in and I am very proud to say we have given out over £50,000 in grants to projects in and around Dundee.
Massive thanks go to Wellgate Shopping Centre who were/are such a support to us.
I couldn't do any of this without my wonderful team, they are an incredible bunch and I thank them all past, present and those sadly no longer with us.
Lastly, a huge, huge thank you to the folks of Dundee who have supported us all the way through donating and Shopping. Thanks to every one of you.
