It’ll need to be quick hog updates since we’re so busy at the moment.
Look out for ‘your’ hedgehog … 👀
🦔🦔 Rae and Pumpkin, both from Forfar have finally emerged from hibernation and STAYED awake. They will be ready to go home next week 🏡🦔🦔
🦔 Cynthia is doing fantastically outside. Her claws need to grow a bit more before she can return to Monikie so she’s been fostered out to volunteer Kate’s garden to make space here 👍🏻
🦔 Henry had lost a bit of weight when he first moved outside but it’s all back on again so he’ll be off to Cupar on Sunday 🏡🦔
🦔 Big Harry has recovered from his ordeal when he fell down a drain in Kirrie. We’re making plans for his release 🏡🦔
🦔 Chip, who fell down the big hole in Ashkirk Place now has a terrible lungworm cough so he was moved back inside for treatment 🏥
🦔 We’ve just found a garden for Donald’s release near to where he was found in Montrose so he’ll be off in the next couple of days 🙏🏻
🦔 Peppa was discovered caught up in a football net in a garden in Cupar. She hasn’t suffered any ill effects so we’re looking for somewhere to release her, close to where she was found. Incidentally, the garden she was found in is right next door to where my Granny and Grandad lived for many years and my mum, her sisters, and her brother grew up, and then I used to visit when I was wee. I remember playing at the Ladyburn at the bottom of the garden 😁
🦔 Larry, has been moved outside to where Cynthia was 🪵🦔🍃
🦔 Saskia, Arbroath, has completed all of her parasite treatments but she has a problem with her right eye that I’ll need to get our vet to take a look at 👩🏼⚕️
🦔 University hog, Hortense, has recently finished her treatments. If she has finally stopped sneezing, she’ll be moving outside 🪵🦔🍃
🦔 Michelin’s wound on her nose is healing well but she’s got an issue with her right eye 👩🏼⚕️
🦔 Mark was spotted out during the day at the University of Dundee Nursery and the staff called us. The children were very interested in learning what would happen to him next. He’s just started his treatments now that I’ve figured out what’s going on with him 💉💊
🦔 Cherry, arrived from Arbroath after being seen out in the sunshine for a few days. I had to painstakingly remove flystrike from around her left eye as she has a wound there . She looked very sorry for herself the first evening and I didn’t think she was going to make it but she’s actually doing really well. I don’t know if she can see so she’s another one for a vet appointment 👩🏼⚕️
🦔 Dexter came from Kate’s garden in Wellbank, so he may well be Cauliflower who was released there. He was out during the day. Amongst other things, he has a massive roundworm burden so he’s not been getting much benefit from food. We need you to keep him in your thoughts as we see if he’s strong enough to make it through his treatment 🙏🏻
The video is of Cherry having a drink when she first arrived.
