Tonight our older guides started to work on our units first ever scrapbook. Hopefully this will be the first of many scrapbooks that will always stay with the unit, so in years to come future generations will be able to look and see the type of activities we did, what our uniform was like and how much fun we had.

After more than ten years the leaders of 3rd Dunblane Brownies have made the hugely difficult decision to step down. They are now looking for any qualified Girlguiding leaders or anyone who would like the opportunity to become a leader to take over the running of the unit. Being a leader is extremely rewarding and you'll be part of a community that helps girls realise they can do anything.

The Brownies meet on Monday evenings at Dunblane Primary School from 6pm to 7.30pm. Sadly if we don't find a leader or prospective leader the unit will have to close and will be a huge loss to Dunblane and Girlguiding.

This week we celebrated the 100th Anniversary of Thinking Day. It is celebrated by 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts all over the world! 🎉

This years theme was Friendship so all our activities were based around the importance of friendship and community. We spent time thinking about random acts of kindness that we can do and there was lots of laughter as we untangled ourselves from a human knot 😊

Someone bought a banana and walnut loaf at our home baking stall at the Victoria Halls today and left it behind. We would like to try and reunite owner and cake. If it was you or you have any idea who it was please leave a message below.

Looking for somewhere to get out the rain this morning. Then head down to the Victoria Halls and get a hot cup of tea or coffee all served by 1st Dunblane Girl Guides! At the same time shop for your Charity Christmas cards and yummy treats on the home baking stalls. From 10am to 12 noon. We look forward to seeing you there.

A reminder that next Saturday, 1st November, will be Dunblane's Charity Card and Craft Sale, 10am to 12 noon in the Victoria Halls. Please come along and support all the amazing charities and the work they do.

1st Dunblane Guides and Trefoil Guild are hosting the event, serving tea, coffee and biscuits ☕🫖🍪. We also have our own craft stall and yummy home baking 🍰🧁🍰. We don't have a card machine so can only accept cash. Thank you 🙏

Dunblane's Annual Charity Christmas Card and Craft Sale will be held on Saturday 1st November, 10am - 12 noon in the Victoria Hall.

This years charities will include: Strathcarron Hospice, Sue Ryder, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Dunblane Museum, The Cats Whiskers and Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland.

1st Dunblane Guides will be there serving teas and coffees 🫖☕ we'll have a yummy cake stall 🍰 and handmade decorations for sale to raise money for our chosen charity.

As this term has come to end we are saying goodbye to ten of our Girl Guides. All ten of them achieved their Girl Guiding Gold Award, quite an achievement 🤩 We are super proud of them for all the work they put in. Some are now going on to Rangers and some becoming young leaders. We will miss them but know they will be brilliant in their new roles.
