A cheque for £200 was graciously received by a representative from Dumfries & Galloway Food Train having been donated by members at our summer garden visit.
We knew the demonstration would be brilliant and we were not disappointed!
Our own amazing Lindsay Florey delighted us with fabulous and unusual plant material in a wonderfully impactful display on stage in the Baptist Church Centre auditorium. The sound quality was perfect as Lindsay regaled us with life experiences and amusing asides as well as an abundance of floral art know how!

Brilliant 'Imposed Class' workshop yesterday with Jaine Kirby.
Club members and one Granddaughter spent a lovely morning in Torthorwald Hall with an allocation of of beautiful flowers, a selection of foliage and stems, some container options and pack of assorted accessories. 'Let's Get Creative' was the object of the exercise as Jaine outlined the rules of an imposed class and gave us an abundance of helpful hints and tips along the way! Great fun!
Coffee, cake and biscuits were also appreciated.

As anticipated, we were well entertained last night by the irrepressible Regina O'Regan. In her demonstration entitled 'A Whole New World' Regina created floral representations of important life events (beginning with a trip to the dentist) and her commentary included many personal and hilarious anecdotes.
A very engaging, enjoyable evening!

What a lovely garden visit, graciously hosted by a stalwart club member! Fabulous afternoon tea and a plant identification challenge completed a perfectly sociable afternoon.
Thanks to everyone who contributed and apologies that the photos don't really do justice to this beautiful, peaceful haven.

Our demonstration by Jo Boggan last night took us on a guided tour from the three bridges over the Firth of Forth along the 'Fife Pilgrim Way' to St Andrews. A very educational trip with some lovely plant material along the way.
