Our demonstration by Jo Boggan last night took us on a guided tour from the three bridges over the Firth of Forth along the 'Fife Pilgrim Way' to St Andrews. A very educational trip with some lovely plant material along the way.

Hello there!

I was wondering if you could share the info about our open garden this Sunday this with your lovely flower club?

We are delighted to be opening the gardens at Cowhill Tower as part of Scotland’s Gardens Scheme on Sunday 24th May, 2–5pm. 🌿

Come and explore the walled gardens, cut flower garden, kitchen garden, rose garden, woodland and river walks, and topiary creatures, all set within an estate with beautiful views across the Nith Valley.

There will also be piping and drumming throughout the afternoon from the Dumfries & Galloway Piping & Drumming Academy.

Homemade cakes, tea and coffee will be available, along with a plant sale. 🌸

Admission is by donation, with proceeds supporting Maggie’s (https://www.maggies.org/).

A lovely afternoon out for garden lovers, families, walkers, and anyone who enjoys beautiful spaces and fresh air. The weather forecast is currently looking sunny and warm! ☀️

We had an entertaining evening with Julie Pearson 'Going for Gold' with some innovative mechanics and fabulous plant material!
No photos of the demonstration pieces on here as her tour continues.
Our workshop, at Gracefield Art Centre, the following day brought members from neighbouring clubs together to try out some techniques involving wax, wire and lots of drilling! Some drills worked better than others but we all went home with either a finished design or with all the components and ideas to play with!
It was fun and friendly and lunch was delicious 🙂
