Our Newton Stewart Friends members had a delightful trip to Tide and Table at Auchenlarie Holiday Park. A delicious meal was enjoyed, whilst looking out over wonderful views. Then time for ice-cream, decisions, decisions, so much choice. Thank you to chef Robbie and his caring staff for looking after us so well.
Some of our members enjoyed reminiscing about spending time at Auchenlarie as a child or with their own family, so many good memories.
Thanks as ever to our fantastic volunteers, after the meal they asked if everyone would like to pop down to Mossyard beach to take in those views. Once again magic dust was sprinkled and members enjoyed sharing more memories.

Stranraer members Friends trip to Driftwood Cafe at Agnew Park. Sharing the magic of good food, blather and friendship.

Our Stranraer Food Train members thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Driftwood Cafe at Agnew Park yesterday. Thank you to Eli and her team who looked after everyone so well, actually they spoilt us. Members loved the opportunity to have a catch up with Eli, who had previously volunteered and worked for Food Train
Delicious food was served, lots of blether and laughter had and there was an introduction to our mascot Linda Train too. Linda Train was kindly made for our Stranraer branch by local lady Linda, as part of our 30th Anniversary Year knit-a-thon last year.
A trip out for lunch isn’t just a trip out for lunch, it can be quite magical for our members and volunteers alike. Some of our members might not have been out for a while, or they might be having a bit of a ‘blerrr’ day and not really feeling like coming out. Come out they do, then on the way home, it is so lovely to hear them say, they are so pleased they’d come out, it was just the tonic they needed. 😍
Thank you so much as ever to our wonderful volunteers, whom nothing is too much trouble for. On the way home the volunteers offered a scenic tour, members got to see views and villages they hadn’t seen for a while, a fair bit of memory sharing and reminiscing went on.

Aren't our volunteers just amazing?! On their day off from delivering groceries to our members, they decided to come and sort the weeds out at the office! 🌱 We can't thank you enough boys, the place is looking great now 😁

Our Newton Stewart Friends members received a warm welcome at
The Harbour Inn at Garlieston last week. Everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch, company and friendship. Thanks as ever to our volunteers and supporters as without you, these trips wouldn’t be possible.
