This is Artem, he has been volunteering with us for nearly 3 years. Artem is such a gentleman and does all the heavy lifting for us female staff when he's in. He always has a smile on his face and is one of the friendliest guys about. Artem loves going camping & fishing 🏕🎣 He also likes football and going to the gym ⚽️🏋‍♂️

This is Ruby, she has been volunteering with us for a year next month. Ruby is one of our youngest members of the team and is a lovely girl who is helping us out while passing time between school and uni. You will find her on the shop floor serving at the till giving great customer service and assisting customers in anything they need. Ruby likes to read, play video games, arts & crafts and loves to bake.

This is Gordon, he has been volunteering with us for 6 years. You will mostly find Gordon on the shop floor either serving or putting stock out. He is friendly and very approachable. Although Gordon is in a wheelchair it doesn't stop him from doing his best. He loves the wrestling wether it's going to watch it live or watching it on the tv. He's a big lover of dogs. Gordon is also fluent in sign language.

This is Cameron, he has been volunteering with us for 6 years next month. He loves to help in anyway he can in all aspects of the job, from giving high standard of customer service on the till/phone to prepping the stock to be put out for sale. Cameron loves Formula 1 racing 🏎, Trains 🚂 and going to heavy metal concerts 🤘

This is Robbie, he has been volunteering with us for that long he has forgotten how many years he's been here 😂. Robbie is such a friendly guy and his customer service comes with a smile that can brighten any room. Robbie loves a good sing song on the karaoke 🎤 He is also football crazy ⚽️

Celebrating all our amazing Volunteers this week 🥳 Let's kick start the week off by letting yous get to know our Dumbarton Volunteers a bit better.
This is Betty, she has been with us for 11 years. Anyone who know Betty will know she loves a good chat, her customer service is on point with amazing banter. Yous will find Betty behind the till on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
In her words - "i love volunteering because it gets me out the house, keeps routine in my life and i enjoy working with the rest of the staff within the shop".

Today we say Happy Retirement to our boss, Susan 🥹 I know you said you didn't want a fuss but how could i not after 13 years of working together. When you first took over in the begining of May 2013 i was just a volunteer within the shop and by the end of the May i became your part time sales assistant. In the early days of my new position when you were teaching me the process of dealing with clothes donations and throwing them at me shouting "hang it, bag it, rag it", or the days when we used to deliver stock to other shops in your van and got lost on the way 😂. When you used to pick me up for work in your porsche with the roof down and because of the wind by the time we got to work our hair was a mess 🙈😂 You have been there for me during alot of dark times in those years too and have always supported me in anyway you could. You have taught me so much over the years and helped me to be good enough to be your replacement, although no one could ever replace you. I will forever be grateful for having the pleasure of working with you as your right hand woman. Even though we will all miss you we know you will be back at some point to volunteer with us. As you finally close this chapter of your book today, your new one begins tomorrow. No more early mornings for you so time to put the feet up and enjoy the rest. We all wish you a Happy Retirement lots of love from your sales assistant Fiona and our amazing team of Volunteers ❤️
