Wow! What a wonderful last class of the season.💚

I'm actually glad it rained because it meant we could use that cosy little spot inside the trees! This was the same spot we had our first ever class, so it felt very special to end it the same way!! 🌳

Thank you to each and every one of you for being a part of Park Yoga 2026. I hope these classes have helped you find a new sense of calm and strength, it's what yoga has done for me!
And thank you for all of the donations to the charity, and also for my lovely flowers and card! It's very appreciated🥰

Due to the light rain, today's class will be in the sheltered area beneath the trees, towards Gervase Drive. 🌳

Look out for the green flag!

The ground is a little muddy so please bring a towel if you can.🌳

Tomorrow is our last class of the season! I will be offering out some sweet treats at the end, including some samples from our sponsors Yogi Tea, so if you'd like to enjoy a cuppa after class, please bring a flask filled with hot water. ☕

With our final class of the season approaching, I thought I'd put together a little highlight reel of the summer we've had! 🌳

Our community has grown so much over the season, from our first class of 7 attendees, expanding to 60 in the height of summer!

I appreciate each and every one of you for getting outdoors and sharing your Sundays with us! 💚

🧘 4 YOGA MYTHS BUSTED 🧘

1. You have to be flexible or strong to practice.
❌ One person's version of a pose can look entirely different to another's! As long as you're feeling the stretch and you're paying attention to how it feels, you're doing yoga!
Take me for example; I have two metal rods in my spine that prevent me from backbending - this does not mean I can't practice yoga! It just gives me an opportunity to listen to my body and avoid the poses that are not accessible for me.

2. Yoga is only a workout
❌ Whilst yoga is great for the health of your body, there is so much more than just the physical element. Yoga is about the awareness you cultivate during your practice. If you are practicing breathwork, meditation, living mindfully or self studying - these things are still considered yoga!

3. All yoga teachers are "enlightened"
❌ We're all human beings, just like you! We all have our anxieties and our triggers, always in the process of learning and bettering ourselves, just like you.
There is no 'completed' status for yoga; we all forever remain students of the practice.

4. You have to have a lot of money to practice yoga
❌ Nowadays yoga is the most accessible it ever has been, with free online YouTube classes, online information, and of course, Park Yoga! All you need is a mat/towel and anyone can join us to practice at Priory Park!

Thank you to everyone for coming down today, the weather was definitely on our side! I can't get over the timing of it! ☀️🌧️

Only two weeks left of Park Yoga 2026! I've really enjoyed these sessions and appreciate you all for joining 💚
