The Rotary Club of Dronfield Dronfield Rotary Club works to help the disadvantaged in our society both at home and abroad.Local projects benefit the residents of Dronfield & S18

The Rotary Club of Dronfield is in Rotary District 1220. The club meets for a meal discussion of ongoing projects and to enjoy guest speakers. We meet Dronfield Hall Barn on the second Tuesday for our business meeting and the fourth Tuesday for our speaker meeting- with a two course meal. Our meetings are 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start. We have supported throughout the Pandemic -The Oaks (Restore) Food Bank as the number of families rose weekly. The numbers are still rising and we will continue our support. The war in Ukraine has been our focus since the invasion. We have sent over £4000 to Ukraine using Rotary Clubs in Poland and Germany to get aid where it is most needed in Ukraine
We are also looking after the refugees in our District. Working with Vodafone UK who gave us 100 free SIM cards to distribute to the refugees. We have sent/delivered over 400 to help them stay in touch with family and friends. We are working with local volunteer groups to meet the needs of the refugees who are traumatised by their experiences. We are organising an ‘Entertain for Ukraine’ at Dronfield Civic Hall Saturday 15 October 2023 to raise funds for Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine
New members are very welcome visit www.dronfieldrotary.org.uk or call 07445050988. Plus support of many other local and international causes. The club raises funds through events such as fashion shows, ceilidhs, 60s nights, afternoon tea with a traditional storyteller, santa's sleigh and Dronfield Rotary Lottery.

This is when volunteering is worth while. Another cheque presentation to the Air Ambulance, any one of us may need them, they helped our good friend Jim when he had a bad accident last year so it was a pleasure to help them out
