The Dronfield 10K raises vital funds for the young people and wider community supported by the 7th Dronfield Scout Group . It’s one of the biggest charity events in the area - but it simply cannot go ahead without a full team of volunteer marshals. Your support genuinely makes the difference between this event happening or not.

If you’re free on the morning of Sunday 19th April 2026, we’d love you to join us. No experience needed - just enthusiasm, reliability, and a friendly smile.

As a marshal, you’ll help:
- Keep runners safe and motivated
- Minimise disruption for local residents
- Create an incredible race‑day atmosphere
- Support a much‑loved community event that directly benefits local young people
- Enjoy a brilliant, feel‑good morning yourself

Every marshal plays a crucial part, and you’ll finish the day knowing you’ve helped make something special happen for the whole community.

Week by week, our volunteers empower young people to learn new skills, make new friends and stand on their own two feet.

Volunteers are our everyday heroes, shaping young people’s lives for the better.

You don’t need to be Bear Grylls to join us. You don’t need to have been a Scout when you were younger. You don’t even need to know how to put up a tent. Our door is open to people of all ages, genders, races and backgrounds, and we’re only able to change lives because people like you lend a hand.

Whatever your skill set, lend a hand for as little or as much time as you can spare, and we promise you’ll get more out than you put in. No two Scout meetings are the same. The difference you make, though, is always great. Why not give it a go, show up, get stuck in and make memories for life?
