Kazoku, is the literal translation from the Japanese meaning - Family. Peters First School in Droitwich Spa on a Monday evening from 18:30pm-20:30pm and on Saturday Mornings from 10:30am-12:30pm at Physique Fitness, Berry Hill Industrial Estate, Droitwich Spa. The long term goal is to bring quality teaching and advance students through their grades at a pace that suits them. We take students from

ages 5 upwards, we are a fully inclusive club and welcome students with additional needs, no matter how big or how small, we are here to help get people from all walks of life involved in our sport. Please send a message for more information. Student fees are £5.00 for the session, which includes membership fees. Preferably a standing order for £20 a month, though we can work around your needs. Family discounts are also available for families with 2 or more attending the club sessions. Licenses will need to be paid for before we can submit members for gradings and competitions. All staff are DBS Checked and we have staff who have attended Safeguarding courses and fully qualified first aiders on hand at every training session. Any enquiries, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us. We are the only club in the area to have been awarded the Safeguarding code in Martial Arts, which is the highest accolade you can obtain in the Sporting world.

New to Kazoku-Kan, starting with anyone under the age of 8 years old.

Introducing the Sho Grade system, designed for younger Judoka to gain grades that are not focused on too much information to learn in one go. Based more on hand to eye co-ordination and basic techniques and learning simple phrases, this helps to prepare the younger students to transition from Sho to Mon grades upon reaching the age of 8.

We are starting this new system with immediate effect.

Happy World Judo Day - this years chosen theme is Inclusion. This is a huge part of Kazoku-Kan Judo Club as we have a mix of Mainstream and Adaptive players, we don't believe in discriminating someone for what they can't do, it's what they can do that's important.

Judoka that adapt will survive. Those that mock will fail.

Our Story

Kazoku, is the literal translation from the Japanese meaning - Family. Based at St. Peters First School in Droitwich Spa, we train on a Friday evening from 6.30pm to 8.15pm. Our goal is to bring quality teaching and advance students through their grades at a pace that suits them. We take students from ages 5 upwards and have Instructors that are experienced with Adaptive ( SN ) students also. We don’t discriminate and won’t turn people away. We can tailor your Judo to your own pathway, so you can work at a pace that suits you, not us. Feel free to pop into the venue and have a chat with the Head Coach ( Rich ) to see how we can help. Student fees are £5.00 for the session, which includes membership fees. A standing order per month is our preferred method of payment, though we can work around your needs. Licenses will need to be paid for before we can submit members for gradings and competitions. All staff are DBS Checked and have attended a Child welfare course and attained a qualification in first aid along with Safeguarding level 2.
