Writing for TV & Film! 🎬 📝

Join screenwriter Paul Carey on this fun, intensive, introductory course into the fundamentals of writing for film and television. Through a variety of practical exercises, discussions, brainstorming and group feedback sessions, Paul will facilitate your screenwriting development and start you on your journey of getting your film and series ideas onto the page.

DAY 1: FINDING YOUR VOICE & STRUCTURING YOUR STORY – July 27th

DAY 2: CREATING CHARACTERS & CONFLICT- July 28th

DAY 3: WRITING DIALOGUE AND ACTION– July 29th

DAY 4: INDUSTRY AND BEYOND…- July 30th

Paul Carey is an award-winning screenwriter and MA graduate of the acclaimed National Film and Television School. His TV credits include projects for Netflix, ITV, BBC and more, while his films have been screened at various festivals worldwide. Paul’s work includes working in the writer’s room for Lisa McGee’s “How to Get to Heaven From Belfast”, writing episodes on multiple series of the BAFTA-nominated comedy G’Wed and is currently developing an audio comedy series for BBC Radio Ulster. Outside of his industry work, Paul has facilitated various workshops around the UK and Ireland for creative writing, filmmaking and screenwriting.

An amazing evening of music at our Creative STEPS wellbeing performance featuring the Ulster Orchestra, Junior Johnson, Paddy Nash, Diane Greer & Two Tone as part of Mental Health Arts NI Festival
