This Armed Forces Day ,Saturday 27 June, ten members of Born to Lose MCC are taking on a proper challenge, hauling a 70kg stretcher all the way up Ben Wyvis (that’s 1,046 metres!) to raise funds for Help for Heroes.

It’s inspired by the charity’s logo, two people carrying a mate, and if that’s not a perfect nod to military teamwork and looking after your own, we don’t know what is.

There’s a strong link between veterans and the biking community, and this team are proving that the sense of brotherhood doesn’t clock off when service ends, it just finds a new road.

They’ve already put in the training, but now they need your backing. Find out more: https://brnw.ch/21x3Ctf

Let’s get behind them. 👊

"I served in Cyprus, Iraq and Afghanistan as an RAF Reservist. Today, I help veterans navigate their healthcare journey."

This Reservists' Day, we're celebrating the extraordinary people who balance civilian careers with military service, people like Jane Thomson.

For 16 years, Jane served as an RAF Reservist alongside a remarkable nursing career that has taken her from frontline healthcare to senior leadership roles across the UK and overseas.

Today, as a Veteran Clinical Advisor for Scotland at Help for Heroes, Jane uses that experience to help veterans and their families access the care and support they need.

From operational deployments in Cyprus, Iraq and Afghanistan to leading pioneering cancer research projects and improving healthcare services for countless patients, Jane's career has been built around one thing: helping others.

Reservists bring unique skills, experience and dedication to both military and civilian life. On Reservists' Day, we thank Jane and every reservist who has served, supported and strengthened our Armed Forces community. 💙

"I loved the camaraderie, and I loved the way it made me feel. It made me feel like I was part of something bigger than myself. There was no more proud feeling than when I rode through the ceremonial gate to es**rt the Queen, and the pride of being the first person from Barbados to ever do it, and to know that I was doing something that mattered.”

Celebrate with us this Armed Forces Week by showing your pride in those who serve and have served.

As temperatures soar across London, we're turning up the pressure in Parliament for veterans and their families.

Today, Help for Heroes launches the People's Promise at the House of Commons – our call for better support for veterans and their families.

Too many veterans are still being let down by delays in care, financial insecurity and systems that can be difficult to navigate. That's why we're calling for action to improve healthcare, strengthen financial security, provide more inclusive support and ensure greater accountability across Government.

We cannot ask more of our Armed Forces while doing less for those who have served.

You can help make a difference by adding your name to the People's Promise and showing your support for veterans during Armed Forces Week.

In an increasingly uncertain world, we rely on our Armed Forces more than ever. This week is about saying thank you to the incredible serving personnel, veterans, reservists and cadets who step forward for all of us, often without asking for recognition.

They serve with courage, commitment and professionalism. They protect our freedoms, support communities at home and abroad, and stand ready when they're needed most.

But support shouldn't stop when service ends.

At Help for Heroes, we stand with veterans and their families every day of the year, helping people recover, rebuild and find hope again.

This Armed Forces Week, there are simple ways you can show your support. Because when someone serves their country, they deserve to know their country stands with them in return.

Join us this Armed Forces Week and help ensure no veteran faces their challenges alone 👉 https://brnw.ch/21x3yw4

Honour your dad. Support our heroes.

Shot and paralysed while serving in Afghanistan, Tony was told he’d never walk again or have children. But today, he is the proud dad of four thanks to sheer determination and support from Help for Heroes.

This Father's Day, celebrate dads with a dedication on our remembrance wall. https://brnw.ch/21x3wGL

Help for Heroes is a registered charity, also registered with the Fundraising Regulator.

"My daughters said, 'Daddy, your legs are broken, but you're going to get some metal legs, and you'll be able to take us out and teach us how to ride. It's going to be okay, Daddy.'

That moment changed everything for me. I knew I had to keep going for my girls."

When Corie lost both of his legs, it was the love and encouragement of his daughters that gave him the strength to face the challenges ahead.

Families are often the backbone of recovery, providing hope, resilience and motivation when it's needed most.
