⛵️ Fair Winds, Elixir!

Everyone at Quoile Yacht Club would like to wish Ryan Wilson and his crew the very best as they take on the SSE Round Ireland Yacht Race, starting this Saturday from . 🌊

Sailing under the QYC burgee once again, Elixir will tackle an incredible 705 nautical mile circumnavigation of Ireland, with the team hoping to complete the challenge in approximately 5 days. 💪⛵️

You can follow Elixir’s progress throughout the race on the YB Tracking APP with positions updated every 15 minutes, or via the MarineTraffic using MMSI 232052238. 📍

This is one of the toughest and most prestigious offshore races in these waters, and we’re incredibly proud to see Ryan and crew representing our club on the national stage. 👏

Start the day the kids’ way! 🎉
Join us at Quoile Yacht Club on Sunday 21st June from 9am–11am for a special breakfast served by our brilliant young helpers. ❤️

On the menu:

🥐 Pastries
🥣 Cereal

A lovely way to treat Dad, Grandad or the whole family on Father’s Day while supporting our young members as they take charge of the breakfast shift! ⛵️

Join us on Saturday 20th June for a fun-filled afternoon at Quoile Yacht Club! 🌞

🏰 1pm – Bouncy castles for the little ones AND the big kids!
🎡 2:30pm – Games, treasure hunt & duck races 🦆
🍕 4pm – Pizza making with our outdoor pizza ovens

There is no charge to come along and join the fun. ❤️

🍕 Pizza making is £10 per pizza and must be booked in advance. Our DIY BBQ will also be available if you’d prefer to bring your own food.

Our Rope & Splicing Workshop is back at Quoile Yacht Club and we’d love to see some familiar faces from around the Lough!

A fantastic FREE evening for sailors and anyone interested in learning (or brushing up on) some essential ropework skills.

Here’s what’s on:

✅ Focus on splicing & whipping
✅ One-to-one help and guidance
✅ Beginner knots after junior sailing for the kids

Hosted by Brian Wilson, who will be sharing his expertise and practical tips throughout the evening.

🍻 Bar open from 6.30pm

⚓️ Free event – donations to RNLI welcome

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your skills, come along for a relaxed and enjoyable evening at the club. Bring a friend and spread the word!

⛵️ A fantastic evening on Friday to wrap up our May Mini Series! ☀️

With Toppers, a Mirror dinghy and Club Bahia all on the water, our junior sailors enjoyed plenty of fun, built confidence and even squeezed in a little racing. 🌊🏆

The perfect end to the series, followed by pizza 🍕 and prize giving ashore. 🏅

A huge thank you to all the parents for their support on and off the water, from rescue cover to rigging and de-rigging, and to Rebecca Ferguson, Junior Sailing Officer, for organising a successful series. 👏⛵️

The fun is only starting!
