Happy 1 month Channelversary to team Fish! We can’t believe how quickly a month has flown by! To mark this occasion May has made a video of our swim, don’t worry it doesn’t go on for 13 hours 32 minutes! We are so close to reaching our target and if you have been meaning to donate but haven’t got round to it yet then there’s still time! Thank you again to everyone who has donated so far. We hope you enjoy the video! https://www.justgiving.com/teams/fish-at-fleming

We’re all chuffed with our time of 13 hours 32 minutes! When we were supposed to be swimming last week on the neap tide (the smaller tide) we estimated our time would be between 13 - 14 hours but when we knew we were swimming on a spring tide (a much bigger tide) we thought it would be more like 16 hours! So we’re very pleased that we still managed to get within our original estimate 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

So we’ve done it. Nick took us home in style and was welcomed on the beach by some locals.

Thanks to everyone who has supported us and donated to our great causes Prostate Cancer UK and Level Water. It’s not too late to donate.

We will be live again for the next change of swimmer in 10 minutes. We are oh so close.

So the team have now all assembled in Dover together with our support crew. We’ve had the call with our pilot and we’ve got the green light for 00:30 tomorrow.

Yes it’ll be dark, but we’ve got a full moon with clear sky’s so some welcome light. However the full moon, does mean we are swimming on a strong spring tide which means we will probably be swimming a bit longer than anticipated.

We had the option of deferring, but we all agreed that anything worth doing is going to be hard and you will only regret the things you don’t try.

Keeping following for our progress and it’s not too late to donate to our great causes Prostate Cancer UK and Level Water.

Whilst we would've hoped to have been swimming (or finished!) by now, sadly the sea conditions haven't played ball so far this week for a channel crossing attempt and we're still firmly on dry land... we'll keep you posted!

Last night’s night swim! For a few of us this was the first time that we’d ever swum in the dark! The general consensus was that night swimming felt very peaceful and that we all loved it! It was important for us to practice a night swim as our swim could start very early in the morning and go on late into the night. We’re all feeling confident if we do need to swim in the dark now!

First swim of the night followed by a talk from Al and Tara, who have both coached and swam the channel as solos and relays, about what to expect when our channel window opens in 2 weeks! We’re now waiting for the sun to go down before we go in for a night swim!
