Dover Big Local Dover Big Local CIC is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund plus local funders. Dover Big Local is run by a committee elected from its Partnership.

Dover Big Local has been entrusted with £1m Lottery funding to spend on central Dover over a 10 year period, which began in 2015. Following detailed research and working with residents, a plan for Dover was developed that includes work on:

• Business and Tourism
• Green Spaces
• Arts and Culture
• Health and Wellbeing
• Communications

Dover Big Local has a Community Hub providing support, traini

ng, and networking opportunities, that help residents access services, develop plans to improve their area and empower them to find solutions that work to make Dover an even more vibrant and attractive place to live, work and play. Any Dover resident, business or organisation can become a Partner and support Dover Big Local’s work.

We are proud to announce our first comedy night in conjunction with La Salle Verte and Stand and Deliver Comedy. Tickets are limited, so it's first come, first served. There is a 50p booking fee, but tickets are £5. Friday, 9th October: doors open at 18:15 and the show starts around 19:00. Use the QR code on the poster to book tickets or email [email protected]

We are delighted to report that our pamper afternoon has sold out almost immediately. We've had several enquiries asking about it and if there are still any spaces. There aren't, but we have a waiting list. Should we run this event again? Please submit your ideas for a potential future event, including preferred days and times, and what you'd like to see. We're running a pamper afternoon on Thursday, 3rd September, 1:30-3:30, including free refreshments, nail painting, and hand massaging. Only £5 per person as a donation to Dover Big Local; payment must be made in advance. There are only 10 spaces available, first come, first served, but we'll have a waiting list.
