✨ New Specialist Chairs Supporting Patient Care at Noble’s Hospital ✨

The Therapies Department at Noble’s Hospital is delighted to have received two new Phoenix 2 specialist chairs, funded through the generous support of the Friends of Noble's Hospital.
These chairs are designed for patients with complex postural and seating needs, offering exceptional comfort and maximum support. They will be used across all medical and surgical wards, ICU and HDU for early rehabilitation, and for patients with progressive conditions who require additional help to sit safely and comfortably.
By enabling patients to sit out of bed earlier in their recovery, the chairs play an important role in improving mobility, supporting rehabilitation, and enhancing overall well being.
A heartfelt thank you to the Friends of Noble's for their kindness and continued support — these chairs will make a real difference to patients who are unable to use standard hospital seating.

The charity would like to thank the parents, carers and visitors to the Neonatal Unit for the donation of £501. The funds have been collected by the Neonatal Unit from their visitors in relation to the work that the Charity does for the unit and particularly in relation to the insulated mugs provided by the charity. The mugs mean parents, carers and visitors can remain longer by the baby's side without their drink going cold or the fear of spilling drinks.

We would like to thank all the parents, carers and visitors for donations to the charity.

The charity actively supports the Neonatal Unit. Over the last 18 months we have supported the unit by providing a range of items and equipment:

• A Video Laryngoscope to help with sick babies
• The refurbishment of the Parent and Baby room to create a more homely environment
• Inkless wipe kit to provide baby hand prints and footprints
• Tote Bags for patient belongings
• A photo printer
• Insulated Mugs

The picture shows Helen Taylor, Lead Nurse for Neonatal Services, presenting the funds to Sue Colley, Secretary and Director of the Friends of Noble's Hospital.

A good news story to round off our 2025 charity year!

Earlier this month Staff and The Friends of Noble's Hospital attended the official opening of the new ‘Gynaecology Clinic Room’ within the Integrated Woman Children & Families Ward, which was supported by the charity.
The new room has been developed to help:

• Increase clinic capacity, expanding on high-demand clinics and services we deliver to women.
• Establish and accommodate Nurse Led Clinics and increase one-stop gynaecological clinics (scan and review).
• Provide timely, sensitive and dignified care to women attending for a range of gynaecological procedures.

Mr Stock- Clinical Director gave a short presentation and thanked the Friends of Noble’s for their contribution to the installation of the new clinic.

Attendees of the opening -
Jackie Carter- Gynaecological Oncology Cancer Support Worker
Kate Butler- Sonographer
Cat Tracy - Gynaecological Oncology CNS
Mr Stock- Clinical Director for Obs & Gynaecological

We are delighted to share the wonderful transformation of the Neonatal Unit at Noble's Hospital. Thanks to your generous support, the parents' sitting room and patient bedrooms have been beautifully refurbished with new beds, mattresses, and comfortable furnishings.

Helen Taylor, Lead Nurse Neonatal, has expressed her heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to this project. She tells us that these improvements make a real difference for families during what can be a very stressful time in their lives. The new parents' sitting room provides a much-needed space for rest and downtime for relatives and loved ones.

The unit will soon be further enhanced with new curtains, nursing chairs for each room, and artwork from a partner charity. We are proud to support Noble's Hospital in providing the best possible comfort and care for our patients and their families.

Thank you for making this possible.
