It was with the greatest of pleasure that our Charity Steward W.Bro Keith Lewis and Junior Warden Bro Paul Barrett presented a cheque for £450 to the Isabel Baker Foundation, a wonderful charity that supports children who have terminal or life limiting illnesses and their parents.

W.Bro Les Joy presented a cheque for £700 to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital Diabetes Centre on 4th April 2025, accompanied by our Treasurer, W.Bro Martin Walsh.

The charity was chosen by W.Bro Les during his year as Worshipful Master of the Via Lucis lodge.

Our W.Master Brian Jackson welcomed our visitors and opened the 500th meeting of the lodge. We were honoured with a SW Area Provincial Official visit headed by W.Bro. Chris Lockwood, who gave a brief account of the lodge dedication ceremony; folowed by to the Initiation of our Candidate Bro. Dean Hunter: Graced with 40 guests to total 53 Bros. made a most memorable evening. A 40yr certificate was awarded to W.Bro. Stephen Lowin by W.Bro. Carl Sams and W.Bo. Huw Evans awarded the GL Cert. to Bro. Oliver Kebby. At the Festive Board W.Bro. Chris presented W.Bro. Horace Hipkiss with a certificate of Honary Membership from the Twynham Chapter C5889. Brethren and Honorary members of the lodge were presented with commemorative gloves and a pin to mark the 500th Meeting.
