On Sunday 8th February we held our annual Waitangi lunch and raised a glass to remember our New Zealand friends in a local hostelry . We enjoyed the company of our Mayor and Honourary President Cllr Viv Charrett, two elected councillors and twenty members and friends. Cheers! ...Kia ora!

Today we celebrated the 40th twinning Anniversary of our friendship links with Saint-Lo,Normandie,France. In the presence of the honourable lady Mayors of both towns, councillors and twinning friends we enjoyed lunch, speeches and the exchange of gifts. Many thanks to "Nelly" for everything she did to make this possible,the Town hall and La Mairie, the sailing club(great lunch) and the committee.This is their first visit for a while and it brought some sunshine to a damp, gloomy Christchurch.
