Here's a thought worth sitting with:
When it comes to our cars, we all understand the value of regular servicing. We don't wait for the engine to fail. We maintain it — because we know that's cheaper, smarter, and safer in the long run.
So why don't we treat our bodies the same way?
Our healthcare system, for all its incredible achievements, is fundamentally reactive. It waits for you to get sick, then tries to fix the problem. The WHO itself will tell you that most chronic diseases — the ones filling our hospitals and overwhelming our GPs — are predominantly preventable.
There's no "no-claims bonus" for looking after yourself. No real incentive built into the system to keep you healthy before things go wrong.
Until we shift from a disease-management model to one that genuinely creates health, we'll keep seeing the same conditions — heart disease, obesity, type 2 diabetes, cancer — threatening to collapse the system entirely. Join Michelle and Rob: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0f1MTiN91I
