Once again apologies for the lack of posting!!

The Stars have had a fantastic start to the season after 8 games in the cup and league the Stars are still undefeated with a 100% record, only scoring less than 6 in one game!

Sunday’s game was a really good battle between two decent sides almost needing the floodlights at the stadium! The Stars came out 6-3 winners!

Fingers crossed the season continues how it started 🙏🤞

Well what an afternoon in almost typhoon conditions at The Avenue Stadium for the Stars to start their cup campaign against Lychett Matravers Wanderers.

Trying out a new formation this week and the boys took to it seamlessly. Battling the horrific conditions the Stars ran out comprehensive winners with 7 different goal scorers and two lads grabbing a hatrick and a double hatrick!

The cup campaign continues next week!

First game of the season today!

A long away trip to Bournemouth to face Moordown & Southbourne an unknown for the Stars after moving from the Bournemouth leagues.

The weather held off and a few kit issues (waiting for more kits to be made) meant a slight delay to kick off.

An even first 10 minutes and the stars fell behind to a through ball being dispatched by the Moordown centre forward. The stars bounced back and quickly leveled the score before being awarded a penalty just before halftime, going into the break 2-1 to the good.

The Stars shook off the rust from the off season and pulled away in the second half, winning 6-1 with goal from one of four debutants.

At home in the cup next week 😁

Good evening Stars fans 😁

That’s the league campaign done for another season and once again the boys brought the league title back to Dorchester!

Last week the Easter holidays caused a few issues with numbers when the Stars took on the only team to beat them in the league over the last two years Phoenix Youth U13 with only ten players to start and then having to play most of the second half with 9 after an injury to the CB. Only needing a point to secure the league title the boys ran out 6-3 winners.

Today, for the second game in a row the Stars played at The Avenue Stadium for the final game of the season and with a nearly complete squad available the boys could enjoy the game knowing they were already league champions! The team played fantastically well and took a 3-0 lead into the break. The heat took its toll on both teams in the second half and the game ended 4-1 to the Stars.

What a great season and we can’t wait to see what next season brings!!!

Firstly apologies for the lack of updates 🥺

Back to business!

The boys are storming this season again having only lost one league game in almost two seasons.

Away to Longfleet Lions today having the bear 11 players due to a few injuries and half term holidays but the boys took it in their stride and pulled out a 2 nil lead in the first 15 minutes and went into half time 3 nil up.

A very physical game and well matched second half brought the final score to 4-2, meaning the stars only need 1 point from their last two home games to secure back to back league titles!!

Super proud of all the boys and the coaching team, it’s been a fantastic season and all the lads have stepped up to the challenge.

On to Easter Sunday and hopefully the boys can get the point that crowns them div 4 champions!!

The Stars took on the Lions 🦁 on Sunday.

After a few weeks with cancelled games and being half term the Stars went into the game with only the starting 11 and no subs, on an uncut pitch it was going to be tough on the boys!

The rust showed as the Stars went 2-0 down within 10 minutes kicking uphill but went into the half with a slender 3-2 lead.

The Lions came out of the blocks from the 2nd half kick off and pressed high, the pressure led to them drawing level before a battling stars managed to get the winner with 10 minutes to go.

4-3 to the stars making it another 100% season so far!

Next weeks brings a cup derby with the Stars taking on the Magpies ✨✨

Game 4 ⚽️⚽️

The Stars travelled to Blandford this week to take on the hawks in blustery conditions!

The Stars kicking downhill in the first half made it count and took a 7-0 lead into halftime, with some fantastic long range finishing.

Kicking uphill second half made attacking challenging and ended up finishing with a 8-1 win having conceded a very unlucky own goal a few minutes before the end!

Another undefeated start to the season for the Stars and next week brings the first appearance at the Avenue Stadium!

First away game of the season today for the Dorchester Stars, taking on Rossmore in Poole.

Well what an eventful game! Played with 10 players the majority of the game, soaked up a lot of pressure but a big push in the second half and a mamouth effort from every player on the pitch meant we ground out a 2-1 victory ✌️

A fantastic performance from the keeper who made some world class saves to keep us level and allow us the opportunity to win the game. Unlucky not to get the clean sheet but a great display of goalkeeping ability🧤 earning him Man of the Match 🏆

Onwards and upwards 2 from 2 let’s go stars ⭐️ ⚽️👏👏

The season started with a bang last week after a solid pre season and took on Verwood at home.

After a close 1st half with the Stars playing uphill they took a slender lead into the break.

After halftime with the lads shooting downhill they ended up winning 8-2 with a 2nd half penalty save by the Stars replacement keeper.

Great team goals and hard work off the ball.

On to Rossmore next ⚽️⚽️⚽️

The 2023/2024 season has come to a close with defeat in the League Cup Semi Final.

What an amazing first season for the players and the coaching team could not be prouder.

Next season will be a step up for the team, not only in leagues but also going to 11v11 will bring it’s challenges, but we are sure the team will take it in their stride!

So the league season has come to an end 😊

And the Stars finish off the season with their 16th league win. Clinching the league title as the invincibles, played 18, 16 wins and 2 draws!

Celebrating in style with a champagne shower (non alcoholic, obviously 😇) after an amazing first season together, the boys have done amazing.

The season isn’t quite over for the Stars with a league cup Semi Final in two weeks time, fingers crossed the boys pull off a memorable performance against a very good side 4 leagues above them!

The coaching team could not be more proud of how far these guys have come and how they have become such a wonderful team to coach!
