The Dorset Chalk Stream Club will have its February social gathering in West Stafford Village Hall (DT2 8AG) on Friday the 20th February 2026 starting at 7.30pm.

Please bring a plate of good food to pop on the buffet table, a bottle of your favourite tipple, or grab a drink from the Wise Man Inn

Bring along any of your unwanted tackle, flies and books to sell on the second hand tackle table, and if you would like to have a stand (FOC), just give me a ring 07889 680464 or ping me an email – [email protected]

Please bring friends along to meet fellow chalk stream and fly fisher folk.
Entrance for this winter’s gatherings will again be free of charge.

This year`s First Cast Supper will be held on Friday 3rd April at West Stafford Village Hall.

Weather permitting there will be a barbecue available to cook some tasty morsels or bring some goodies to share.

The hall will be open from 6.30pm and it will be great to get together again.

The Dorset Chalk Stream Club will have its December social gathering in West Stafford Village Hall (DT2 8AG) on Friday the 12th December 2025 starting at 7.30pm.

Guest speakers - Tis the season…

Nigel Nunn and David Burton will talk about fly tying, fly testing and perhaps how the concept of a certain fly for a certain part of the season could now be obsolete.

That’s the plan but they might go a little off piste.

Plus, there will be a free raffle with some excellent prizes including a rod from Alternative Tackle.
