🤝 New Partnership: Citizens Advice Central Dorset now based at Weldmar Hospicecare
We're proud to announce a new partnership with Weldmar Hospicecare, making it easier than ever for Weldmar's patients and their families to access our support.
Twice a week, our caseworkers will be based at the hospice in Dorchester, offering expert guidance to help patients and their loved ones access the benefits they're entitled to.

âś… Benefit entitlement checks
âś… Support claiming Universal Credit, Attendance Allowance, and Personal Independence Payment
âś… Fast-tracked applications where someone is in the last 12 months of life
✅ Help for loved ones after bereavement — including re-applying for benefits previously claimed jointly
âś… Wider support with housing, employment, and debt
Previously, this kind of support was only available to Weldmar patients with cancer. Now, it's open to everyone the hospice cares for, regardless of illness.

This work sits alongside Weldmar's existing Carer Support Coordinator and Welfare Support Officer, giving families joined-up support when they need it most.
