As part of the campaign, our Cubs have been exploring how caring for our planet is also an act of hope for the future 🌍✨

Working towards their Environmental Conservation Badge, they discussed ways to reduce energy and water usage at home, learned about renewable energy, and thought about how small everyday actions can protect our environment for generations to come.

The Cubs made their own windmills and even used solar power to make s’mores — proving that learning about sustainability can be both meaningful and fun ☀️🍫

These conversations matter. When young people understand the importance of protecting the world around them, they grow into thoughtful, responsible and hopeful leaders for the future.

Every small action counts. Every conversation plants a seed of change. 🌱

This week our Beavers explored the beauty of nature and the importance of looking after our environment 🌿🍎🐦

We spoke about trees, leaves and wildlife, and learned about the different birds we see around us and why caring for nature matters. The young people then created biodegradable bird feeders using apples and sunflower seeds to take home and hang in their gardens.

Small activities like these help children understand that even simple actions can support local wildlife and protect our environment for the future.

As leaders, it’s important to us that our young people grow not only in confidence and skills, but also in kindness and responsibility towards the world around them 🌎💚

🌟Let’s talk about last night! 👑🤩

What an incredible moment as we were officially presented with the King’s Award for Voluntary Service by His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, Dame Hillary Chapman! 👑✨

Thank you to our Leaders, our Scouts with their families and our honoured guests for joining us for this momentous occasion. We shed tears of joy as we looked back at our magnificent journey and heard heartfelt stories from our leaders and young people!

Huge thanks to the Civic Mayor, Tim Needham for hosting us at the majestic Mansion House—a truly fitting venue for such a special occasion.

Most of all, thank you to everyone involved in our group over the past 10 years! This award belongs to you. We’re so proud and honoured of what we’ve achieved together 💛🤍💙
