If you have a loved one living with dementia or Alzheimer’s, the Herbert Protocol can help police respond more quickly if they go missing. 💙🚔

The form contains important information such as recent photographs, medical details, favourite places and emergency contacts, giving officers valuable information at the earliest opportunity.

A little recap of Dementia Action Week 2026! 🩷
We had our Ageing Well At Silver Link Open Day which saw sessions delivered from Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and Club Doncaster Foundation!
We took part in the third annual Dementia Information Day at Eco-Power Stadium!
Callum completed his 24 hour walk to raise money for Age UK Doncaster!

On Thursday 23 July, Club Doncaster Foundation is teaming up with LEGO® and CBeebies as part of the Doncaster Rovers Open Day, creating a fantastic day of free activities for children and families at Club Doncaster Sports Village.

Families can look forward to:
⭐ A LEGO® Play Zone
⭐ A visit from Hey Duggee
⭐ Meeting CBeebies Parenting presenter Cat Sandion
⭐ Meeting the Doncaster Rovers players
⭐ A variety of free family activities throughout the day

This is a fantastic opportunity for families to come together, enjoy a fun-filled day and experience everything Club Doncaster has to offer.

Although the event is completely FREE, spaces for some activities are limited, so we encourage families to book as soon as possible.

This workshop is running next Tuesday, aiming to help adults gain confidence in their digital skills, specifically looking at accessibility features, simple email tools, and video calling features. No prior experience with technology is needed and the session will be beginner friendly!

⚠️ Heatwave conditions are set to return, and it’s important to keep our loved ones with dementia well hydrated.

Dehydration is a common challenge for people living with dementia, even in milder weather, so it’s important to take extra caution when temperature soar.

If you have a loved one living with dementia, take note of these ways to support them in the heat:

Leave beakers or jugs of water in easy reach. This is especially important for people with limited mobility, who aren’t able to get up and make themselves a drink.

Make drinking easier. Try a brightly coloured cup or straw to draw attention. Make sure the beaker is within line of sight, and not too heavy or an odd shape.

Share a drink together. Have a cup of tea or a soft drink with the person, and make sure they're drinking during mealtimes.

Leave prompts and reminders. Try leaving notes out for your loved one or putting up notices around the house. You could also set up a phone reminder or set an alarm clock.

Offer high-water content foods. Supplement water and other drinks with foods that are high in fluids. Some good options include soup, cucumber and fruit like melon.

Try offering something that feels like a treat. Ice lollies and ice cream are cooling and have a high water content, while Jelly Drops are 95% water and designed to help you stay hydrated.
