We are a Charity and Voluntary Agency who have been creating loving families since 1946. YAA's friendly team recruit, train and approve adoptive parents from across Yorkshire & Humber, North Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire. We are a Voluntary Agency and charity providing a bespoke service to our families and life long adoption support. Our vision is that children who n

eed an adoptive home will grow up in a safe and loving home, will be happy, healthy and lead fulfilling lives. We work closely with other organisations and local authorities to support family finding for our families and the children waiting. We are a welcoming organisation and our adopters say it’s great that we have a consistent and supportive staff team who always go the extra mile.

We are looking for Independent Social Work Panel Members!

We are currently welcoming applications from qualified, experienced, and ambitious social workers interested in becoming independent panel members for our approval panel.

As the Agency offers services relating to both Domestic and Inter-Country adoption and consider applications from both.

Person Specification:
🧑‍🎓A social work qualification with at least three years post-qualifying experience in childcare social work, including direct experience in adoption work. This could include having worked with adopters or with children placed for adoption.

🤝Experience, either professionally or personally or both, of the placement of children in adoptive and/or foster placements or of children being cared for away from their birth family.
