🎃 Who's ready for the Pumpkin Plod? 🍂

On Thursday 22nd October, the children at Travis St Lawrence CE Primary School will be taking part in the Pumpkin Plod, and we're looking forward to seeing everyone getting involved!

The money raised will help improve the children's OPAL play opportunities at school.

🌿 A new digging pit and water play area at the upper site
🌿 A mud kitchen at the lower site

How exciting would these be for the children?!

Every little bit of sponsorship will help bring these fantastic new play spaces to life - thank you for your support! 💛

One of the things we'd love to do this year is make it easier for more parents and carers to get involved with Friends of Travis.

That doesn't necessarily mean joining the committee.

It might mean helping at one event, donating a raffle prize, sharing an idea, giving us half an hour when we need some extra hands or simply supporting a fundraiser.

Lots of small bits of help across our school community can make a big difference. ❤️

It doesn't cost you a penny extra!

Fancy getting involved with Friends of Travis?

Helping doesn’t have to mean taking on a big role or committing to every event.

We’d love more parents and carers to get involved, whether that’s volunteering occasionally, sharing ideas, helping at an event or becoming more involved with the group itself.

Our next meeting is on Thursday 12 November at 6pm, and you’re very welcome to come along and see what it’s all about.

🎁 Can you help with our Christmas raffle?

We’re starting to collect prizes for this year’s Christmas fundraising and would love donations from our school community.

Perhaps you have a new gift you could donate, work somewhere that could offer a voucher, or know a local business that might be happy to contribute a prize.

Donations can be dropped off at either school reception.

Every contribution, big or small, helps us put together a brilliant raffle while raising money for Friends of Travis. Thank you!

🎃 Pumpkin Plod is coming!

On Thursday 22 October, the children will be taking part in a sponsored Pumpkin Plod!

📍 Upper site: 9am
📍 Lower site: 2:30pm

The event is being organised by school, with the support of Friends of Travis to fund extras and opportunities for the children.

More information will come from school, but for now, pop the date in your diary!

Ever wondered what the money raised through Friends of Travis events and fundraising helps to pay for?

🎄 One of the lovely things we support is Christmas books for the children.

Every ticket bought, event supported and fundraiser joined in with helps us put money back into experiences and extras for the children. ❤️
