The community seedhut, that is located in the Methodist Chapel carp park, has been restocked with some plants, seeds, potatoes and dahlia tubers. This is a plant/seed swap hut so please come and bring some surplus seeds or plants to replace any you take. Thanks!

We had a wonderful evening yesterday for the Lights on Wheels parade. Thank you to everyone who joined us and came along to support us. There were some amazing entries this year!
But a massive thank you needs to go to all the volunteers giving up so much time to put on a fabulous event for the village. 🚜🎉✨

We have a group meeting tonight at 6pm at the Methodist Chapel to finalise details for Lights on Wheels. If anyone is available to volunteer to help on the evening and is free tonight we would love to see you. We are only a small group and rely on volunteers to run the whole event so any amount of help is much appreciated. 🤞🏻

Thank you to everyone who joined in with the Scarecrow weekend, we had some amazing entries and we hope you all enjoyed taking part.

The results are in for competition. The entries were as usual of a fantastically imaginative standard. People commented that it was difficult to pick out a winner and the voting was very close.
The winners are:

🥇 'Bake-off'

🥈 'Addams Family

🥉= ‘King, Queen and Princess' & ‘Troublesome Trucks'

The whole event was a great success and very well attended.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN Hatfield Woodhouse 🎃
🧑‍🌾 This weekend is the village Scarecrow festival.
Here’s how to join in:
🗺️ Collect your Map from the Methodist Chapel between 10am and 2pm either Saturday or Sunday.
🥓 Grab a cuppa and a bacon sarnie to take with you
🚶Explore the village on foot finding all the scarecrows
🐝 Call at the village hall to see the Doncaster Beekeepers Honey show
🗳️ Head back to the Chapel to cast your vote
🍰 Treat yourself and the family to a well earned treat!
🎟️ Let the kids have a go at our fun tombola
💷Don’t forget to bring some cash as the maps and refreshments are all cash only.

We had lots for fun for our Scarecrow workshop yesterday.
You can see all the scarecrows around the village this weekend for our scarecrow festival. Pick up a map from the Methodist chapel and judge your favourite.

**BIRTHDAY BAKE OFF!**

It's an exciting week with lots going on, the launch of new things, and we'll also be celebrating the 2nd Birthday of our all-age Café Church!

So to celebrate we are hosting our very own Birthday Bake Off. You can bake whatever you want and bring it on Sunday at 4pm to be added to our competition.

Its going to be a celebration service, where we also reflect on what it means to be "charitable", carrying on our look at Jesus' teachings in the sermon on the mount. Invite your friends and we will see you there.....
