💙 Volunteer with us at Sandalwood 💙

Looking to try something new this year? We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to Drive a Difference at the Sandalwood Centre in Doncaster, part of Making Space.

Our Sandalwood Centre is a warm, welcoming space for older adults and people living with dementia to enjoy activities, a hot lunch and good company. Some people can’t get to the centre on their own - and that’s where you come in 🚗

📍 Where? Sandalwood Centre, Doncaster
🕒 When? Monday–Friday (you choose the days and times that work for you)

You’ll be helping by:
• Driving people to and from the centre
• Having a friendly chat and helping them feel comfortable on the journey
• Guiding people in and out of the car (no lifting required)

This is a great opportunity to meet new people, be part of a friendly team and make a real difference in your local community. Mileage is reimbursed, and you’ll be fully supported by our staff team.

💜 A heartfelt thank you to Sam Rigby from The Secret Retreat, Doncaster!

Throughout October, Sam kindly donated £10 from every Slumber Treatment to support our Sandalwood Day Centre - and we’re happy to share that she has raised an amazing £180 for the people we support!

✨ £120 came from her relaxing 70-minute Slumber Treatments, and Sam went the extra mile by running a raffle too, raising an additional £60 for our day centre.

Sam chose to support Sandalwood because many of her customers visit The Secret Retreat while their loved ones are spending the day with us, and she wanted to give something back. Her thoughtfulness means so much to our team and to the people who rely on Sandalwood for connection, care and comfort.

💙 Thank you, Sam, for your generosity and community spirit - and thank you to everyone who booked a treatment or entered the raffle. You’ve helped make a real difference.
