Tickets are now on sale for our fabulous fundraising raffle! Buying tickets will help us to raise funds to support our Baby & Toddler Group and Bookbug Sessions at the Hive. You also have the chance of wining some fantastic prizes, including:

Come along to the Repair Cafe this weekend to The Hive and get your things repaired, and maybe learn a thing or two about repairing – no appointment needed!
There is no charge for any advice or repair, but visitors’ donations will help keep the service free at the point of delivery for everyone. Donations are used to cover costs and to help us offer additional workshops for free.

Community Picnic – Sunday 6th September
Please join us from 11.30am in the field beside the Hive for our first community picnic! ☀️
And if the weather is inclement, the marquee will of course be open.

Bring your picnic blankets, picnics and games for the kids, and come together to celebrate summer and this wonderful place we call home.
Tell us where you came from before Dollar, or if you’ve lived here forever and what you love about our village. Share your ideas for events, activities and ways we can grow our community together.
And if you’d like to be part of making these things happen, come and join our wonderful group of volunteers
Let’s share, listen, laugh and celebrate community, togetherness and all the wonderful things still to come. Bring the parents, the kids, the grandkids, the neighbours.. everyone 🩷

🍻 Dollar B**r Festival is back! 🍻

Tickets are now on sale for a weekend of great b**r, good food and good company in the marquee beside The Hive.

Join us on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th September for three sessions:

🍺 Friday evening, 7pm–11pm
👨‍👩‍👧 Saturday afternoon, 1pm–5pm, family-friendly with b**r garden and games
🎶 Saturday evening, 7pm–11pm, with live music

We’ll have a great selection of craft ales, along with c***r, w**e, fizz and spirits for those who fancy something different.

We’ll also have a raffle raising funds for Dollar’s Baby & Toddler Group, with raffle tickets going on sale soon. More details to follow.

🎟️ Tickets are £10/£15 and are available online and from The Sorting Office, Ellie’s Cellar and Dollar’s Deli.

As in previous years, your ticket gets you a B**r Festival pint glass and a couple of tokens towards a drink.

🦆 The Duck Race is taking a break this year... but only for 2026!
The much-loved Duck Race will be back next year with all the favourites (and maybe a few new ideas too!).

This year, we're taking the opportunity to try something a little different with a Community Picnic – a chance to bring everyone in Dollar together and celebrate everything that makes our village special.
Whether you've lived here for years or have only just arrived, we'd love to see you there.

UPDATE: Great news - Molly has been found in Sauchie. A bit thin but finally home. Thanks to everyone who kept an eye out.

It is unfortunate that we have to report 2 separate incidents of break-ins and damage caused to the Marquee at The Hive in the past week. Both incidents have been reported to the Police.

The first incident involved 2 individuals breaking in and piling tables up to make a bike jump. Descriptions and a bicycle helmet have been given to the Police. If your son/daughter has lost a helmet maybe they could tell you where they last had it.

The second incident happened last night where the Marquee was again broken into and 3 of the doors have been smashed - likely by a football given the grass on the inside doors. A football is also in our possession.

We have also been informed that 3 of our chairs have been found on Devon Way. If someone could return them that would be appreciated.

To clarify, the Hive Community Centre and the marquee are fully owned by Dollar's Community Development Trust, a charitable organisation, entirely funded and staffed by volunteers. As a result of the break-ins, as well as repairing the damage, we are having to increase our CCTV coverage, using money we would rather put back into the community.
