Glasses found at palgrave park today

This meassage was sent to me so I thought I'd share it as it was so nice and just shows what a lovely Community spirit we have....

I thought I'd messgage and you can share if you think appropriate.

It was a lovely vibe today at the Community Centre in the park. There were so many families gathered with homemade pin holes, colanders or sunglasses to watch the eclipse. There was a real sense of community; sharing stories, playing and just enjoying a moment of shared experience. We are lucky to have such a great place to gather and enjoy the eclipse! It was awesome.

We have recently experienced several incidents of anti social behaviour at the Community Centre two of which required attendance by the emergency services. The most serious involved young people climbing the wind turbine, with one reaching the basket at the top - a life threatening act that could easily have ended in tragedy, Earlier that evening, a car and an e- bike were driven recklessly around the field.
As a result, the Trustees must now invest in additional safety measures to help protect everyone who uses and enjoys the centre.

Please call 999 if you witness such dangerous activities.

To help determine this behaviour, we will be locking the vehicle entrance gates to the field during evenings and weekends we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to genuine users, but hope you understand that these measures are necessary to help keep the centre safe, protect our facilities and ensure it remains a welcoming place for everyone. We would also be grateful if parents and local residents could encourage young people to respect this shared community space and use it responsibly.

COFFEE CAKE AND COMPANY .
Monday 10am
Palgrave Community Centre
Pop along for coffee and cake, bring a friend and meet new ones.
We have books and jigsaw puzzles to borrow or swap so if you have any you've finished with I'd really appreciate it.
We also have Mid Suffolk joining us to help with reducing energy costs, keeping homes warmer and other relevant information .
Also Community Police officer will be there to answer any questions or help with any concerns.

Palgrave Community Centre
Due to anti social behaviour involving vehicles driving around the playing field we have made the decision to close the gate during the evenings/night once events are finished and over the weekend as much as we can when no events are on, this is purely for the safety of the children and anyone using the play park / field.
Hopefully the weekend closure will be temporary but something we feel needs to be done at the moment.
Please bear with us we are doing our absolute best to resolve this .
