The Pennoyer Centre is a converted medieval guild chapel and school which has been restored to provide a centre for education, heritage, business, social and leisure activities for the community in the area. We run a variety of activities ranging from a computer help club, yoga, pilates, regular quiz evenings, monthly lunch club and a community Film Club (3rd Friday monthly) and craft fairs.

Needham: A Village from Romans to Victorians, part of The Waveney Heritage Talks series

Saturday 17 October 10.30am - 12.30pm

Local historian Stephen Poulter reveals some of the wealth of stories he has uncovered about the tiny, rural village of Needham in writing a history book on this ancient Waveney Valley settlement

Here is a 2000-year tale that includes Roman coin hoards, Norman knights and a medieval religious protest. The male and female residents, from well-heeled farmers to crafts workers and the poorest agricultural labours, were buffeted by revolution, war, and economic unrest over the centuries while experiencing plenty of human dramas nearer to home.

Thanks to amazing volunteers the Halloween Trail is back this year!

Join us on Saturday 31st October, for free spooky games, crafts, and a fancy dress competition; you can also get your face painted to match your costume for free.

Don't forget to collect your Halloween Trail Map at the centre (guided walks will be available) those on the map are expecting you, so you can enjoy a safe trick or treat evening
