🥅🚁 Quidditch-inspired drone soccer? You bet.

Last night, 1070 (Diss) Squadron became the first squadron to host BMFA Drone Soccer, with guests joining us from Wymondham to take on something completely new.

Fast, competitive, slightly chaotic, and seriously good fun.

This is what Air Cadets can do.

And we did. 💙

✈️ NO ORDINARY HOBBY

Ever wondered what it’s like to see the countryside from the back of a Chinook?

For Air Cadets, flying isn’t just something you watch on a screen. It can mean getting up close to aircraft, experiencing the thrill of flight, and seeing the world from a completely different perspective.

And this is just one of the opportunities waiting for you.

Flying with the Air Cadets.
It starts on a Tuesday.

🎯 TAKE AIM. FIND YOUR FOCUS.

Archery is just one of the things you can get involved in as an Air Cadet.

It takes concentration, patience and a steady hand.

But this isn’t just about learning to shoot. It’s about trying something new, challenging yourself and discovering what you’re capable of.

And archery is just the beginning.

Think Air Cadets is all about drill? Think again.

So, what did Luke do yesterday?

Well, the Chinook was only the beginning.

After getting the chance to experience a low-level flight in a Royal Air Force Chinook, Luke got to see some of the people and equipment that support operations both in the air and on the ground.

He got up close and personal with another Chinook, including getting to explore the cockpit.

Then it was off to the Fire Section, finding out what happens when things don't go quite according to plan.

He also visited Thames Valley Air Ambulance, getting a look inside the aircraft and learning more about the people who take emergency medical care into the air.

And there was a visit to the Tactical Police and Security Squadron on station, seeing another side of the work that happens behind the scenes.

All of that.
In one day.

This isn't a holiday from school.
It's a holiday from ordinary.

Be less boring.
Be more Luke.

And there's still more to come.

It starts on a Tuesday.
