🚒 THIS WEEKEND — FIRE ENGINES FOR UKRAINE 🇺🇦

This weekend, Diss & District Rotary is proud to be supporting an amazing project alongside the Fire Brigade Workers Charity and Action Beyond Words, helping get much-needed fire engines and equipment to Ukraine.

📍 Morrisons, Diss
📅 Friday 28 & Saturday 29 August

Come and see the fire engine, climb aboard, make a donation and find out more about the project.

Then on Sunday 30 August, join us in Diss Park from 2.30–4pm for live music from the fantastic Stowmarket Concert Band — with a fire engine there too! 🎶🚒

The volunteer firefighters taking these vehicles into Ukraine are the real heroes of this project. ❤️

🎺🎶 SUNDAY IN THE PARK — COME AND ENJOY THE MUSIC! 🎶🎺

What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than listening to the fantastic Stowmarket Concert Band playing live in Diss Park? ❤️

Bring the family, bring a picnic, grab a blanket and come along for an afternoon of wonderful live music from this brilliant local concert band. 🎶

🚒 There’ll also be a fire engine in the park, as Diss & District Rotary continues its fundraising weekend to help get vital fire engines and equipment to Ukraine, working alongside the Fire Brigade Workers Charity and Action Beyond Words.

So come for the music, stay for the atmosphere — and if you can, make a donation to this very worthwhile cause. 🇺🇦❤️

Isaac Page absolutely blew diss away so many customers commented on how good he is thank you Isaac. Diss & District Rotary Club Eamon, Wendy,Neil, Ivor, Charles thank you giving up your time to collect for us, Laura for doing a fantastic job on the socials ❤️ Marie Curie Norfolk-Suffolk Helen Marie Curie UK thank you timo you and your volunteers 🙏 and of course Ernie 🐾 but of course the biggest thank you is for our generous customers. A real feel good day full of a sense of community.

Cromwell High School is a specialist school in Dukinfield providing education and support for children with severe and complex learning difficulties. We recently donated £9000 to install a brand-new outdoor gym to help the sudents stay active, burn off some energy, and find a bit of calm through sensory regulation whenever they need it.

Alison, our lovely Community Champion from the Dukinfield store popped down with Jonathan Reynolds MP to see the new gear in action and celebrate alongside Headteacher Suzanne.

From what we hear, the new equipment is already going down an absolute storm with the pupils! A massive well done to Team Cromwell for the incredible work you do every single day. We're incredibly proud to support you!

What a fabulous day! We’ve been completely overwhelmed by the kindness, generosity and support shown by the lovely people of Diss. 🥰

We’ve received some really deeply touching and positive comments throughout the day, and it honestly means so much to everyone involved. It’s a wonderful reminder of what a generous and caring community we have. ❤️

Our Rotarian Kenny won’t know the final total until tomorrow, but with the money collected today plus the fantastic support received, we’re confident it’s going to be an excellent result for his Marie Curie collection.
