HOW DOES DINGWALL SUPERSTORE HELP IN OUR COMMUNITY?
š We have a Permanent Food Collection Point (P*P) at the back of our checkouts where our generous customers can donate any long life food to go to our local Dingwall Community Fridge These items are collected regularly and distributed as needed.
šWe have 3 Sensory Borrow Bags in Store to borrow from our Customer Service Desk, for those who may need a little extra help whilst shopping
š We donate ALL our surplus foods at the end of each evening to 2 local foodbanks. Dingwall Community Fridge and MOO Food in Muir Of Ord. Our Community Food Connection iniative (CFC) works by a representative of either group receiving an alert via our app to come and collect what we have, for them to distribute how they feel.
Figures are provided on out Customer Notice Board each week, advising how much we donated.
š We provide donations of food or raffle prizes when requested to as many local groups as possible and have delivered prizes to as far as the Isle of Skye.
šWe allow space at the front of our store to most local groups or charities who wish to try and raise funds or awareness of their groups. Utilising our incredible footfall at no cost to the groups.
š We have taken in pop up banners for local businesses to display, NHS Physio and SWL Fire Extinguishers for example.
š We do charity or local group bag packing, which can really help raise funds for your group.
š We have 3 local groups in for our Community Fruit & Veg Grants (Blue Tokens) every 3 months. If you wish to apply to be in with a chance of receiving a place for a grant, please use the link below to apply online. I make sure all donations are provided and posted on our Socials. I have provided schools with tours of the store, and try my best to promote all the good our store does for our Community.
The list goes on and on of my duties which provides me with such job satisfaction daily.
