CreativeScene

CreativeScene Creative Scene has been making art a part of everyday life in West Yorkshire for over 14 years.

Our programme is all about finding ways to get more people taking part in and experiencing arts and culture of all kinds- from fashion to film, poetry to playwriting, outdoor and digital arts, family festivals and performances in unusual places. We do this by co-creating with people and communities, working together so that they can express their voices, interest and ambitions, and reflect these of in the creative process, with their stories and interests centre stage.

Heritage Open Days - Discovering the Heritage of Crow Nest Park
Thursday 17th September 10.00-12.00
Have you met the Barrow Man? Park Artist in Residence Stephen Turner will be leading this gentle walk with Friends of crow Nest Park’s Gill Young. Created from the grounds of a country house estate with origins in the sixteenth century, Crow Nest Park was designed to bring the spirit of the countryside into what was then a heavily industrial landscape. Today its magnificent mature trees, colourful walled garden and open green spaces continue to provide a place of beauty, wellbeing and community for the people of Dewsbury.
