We will post details about upcoming public shows, events and our monthly meetings at Detling Village Hall This is a page solely for information about the R/C Transport North Kent Group managed by the "Admin Team" for the group. This page will contain updates on club meetings, display events and details on membership. We run 1/14-1/16 scale radio controlled models (which includes: Trucks, cars, bus
es, vans, farming and plant equipment) on a road layout that includes bridges, buildings and other scale scenic items. We have many experienced members in the group that are always on hand at meetings to assist others in technical and practical matters relating to these models. Meetings at Detling Village Hall are open to anyone wishing to run their models (a fee for the day applies) or to find out more about the hobby of scale radio controlled transport model building and running. We do not race or have facilities for fast vehicles or models on our layout. Display events are limited to attendance by "group members" only and due to layout size and location spaces are normally filled on a first come first served basis and always with at least 1 member of the admin team on site at all times. We have a Facebook group associated with this page
"R/C Transport North Kent Group Members Only" which can be used for Members chat, advice and event registration, you will have the option to be added to this group once you are a "Member". For all other general chat we have an "Open" group that can be accessed from this page: "RC Trucks Kent". Running models on the group layout is at the model owners/drivers risk, any issues relating to damage of a model and/or equipment needs to be resolved between those parties directly involved. Any damage to the venue currently in use by the group will need to be dealt with by the individual and a member of the "admin team" in the first instance and then taken forward to the venue owner/organiser if necessary. Any abusive behavior between model owners/drivers, group members, other attendees, or towards the group "Admin Team" will not be tolerated and individuals will be asked to leave the meeting/event with possible ban from attending future meetings and/or cessation of membership. RC Transport North Kent Group will make every effort to ensure that the meetings and display events which we attend are safe and enjoyable for all. Your models and equipment are used at meetings and events at your own risk damage and theft will not be covered by R/C Transport North Kent Group.
