Date: Sunday 23 February

Place: Dersingham Village Centre, Manor Road, Dersingham
In aid of: Wool for Welfare

You will be able to enjoy this delicious home cooked mouth-watering menu!

Our Wool Boxes are perfect if you are stuck for a Christmas gift this festive season.

Each Box contains 100g of Raw Wool Fleece which can be hung out for birds to make their nests from or to put over pots to keep your plants frost-free. The uses of this natural wonder-material is seemingly never ending. 🪴

Available from our small concession in Cheshire and Oldfield at St Nicholas Court (next to the Doctor's Surgery), why not stop by to support a local charity and have a chat with a member of the C&O team about the wonders of wool!

The proceeds from these boxes then help to set up hot meal clubs, provide school supplies, and give woolly hats and gloves to children in West Norfolk. 🧤

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't forget our fundraiser being held on 21st December at 7:30pm at Cheshire and Oldfield, with drinks and carols, the evening will lead up to the Grand Raffle draw with prizes donated from a range of local businesses.

"Happy Friday!" from the Wool for Welfare Chief-Morale-Officer, Woolliam.

The Foundation raises money to fund hot meal clubs and provide school supplies to primary schools in West Norfolk. It raises this money through the kind donations of the public or through sponsorship of indiviudals or businesses (running 5km's or setting up coffee mornings). 🏃

The Foundation also receives raw Wool Fleece from local smallholders and farmers, this wool is packaged up and then sold to raise funds. The raw wool fleece is a masterpiece of natural fibres; it can be used in hanging baskets or pots to insultate and retain moisture. It can be dug into the ground to deter deer from nibbling on your plants, it can also be laid around plants and act as a slug deterent! 🐌

The birds even love the wool. Simply pop some in a bird feeder and they will build and repair their nests all year round with the snuggly insulating fibre! 🪺

These Raw Wool boxes provide you with 100g of local, raw wool fleece for use in your garden, all we ask for is a nominal suggested donation of £10.

Get in contact in the comments or direct message to find out more about our Raw Wool boxes, and help us help the children of West Norfolk!

The Lamb and Businesswoman who inspired us all. ✨

Little Woolliam was born premature and was rejected by his mother. Luckily though local shepherdess and businesswoman, Amanda Oldfield, was on hand to help! Amanda adopted Woolliam into her flock and loved and nurtured him through his youngest months.

At the same time Amanda was hearing stories of children in King's Lynn going days without a hot meal and primary schools with wish-lists full of school supplies. Woolliam's sweet nature and the need to relieve local poverty inspired Amanda and so The Wool for Welfare Foundation was born. 🎉

The Foundation accepts donations, supports indiviudals and businesses who wish to sponsor the charity (through runs, walks or coffee mornings) and also sells raw wool products which have been donated by local smallholders and farmers. 🐑

Like and Follow to see how our journey unfolds, and drop us a message to get your hands on a raw Wool box which can be used in flowers beds, hanging baskets or even in bird feeders to for your garden birds to make their nests from.

We’re absolutely thrilled to share our Wool for Welfare wool boxes with you! For a suggested donation of just £10.00, each delightful box includes 100 grams of raw wool fibre, and best of all, 100% of the proceeds go directly to supporting local schools and care providers to help children in poverty.

Wool truly is a miracle fibre and is incredibly fantastic for gardens this time of year! It helps protect plants from frost while locking in moisture, ensuring the soil doesn't dry out in the wind. Although our wool boxes are small, they can make a huge difference.

Wool for Welfare boxes can be found at Cheshire and Oldfield Dersingham for a suggested donation of £10.00 per box.

Hello World 👋

We are the Wool for Welfare Foundation, a West Norfolk based Charity which raises money to fund hot meal clubs, provide school supplies, and give away wooly hats and gloves to primary school children in West Norfolk. 📚

Founded by local businesswoman, Amanda Oldfield, we strive to relieve poverty and provide welfare to the children of West Norfolk. We raise funds through a number of means, but one of them is the sale of wool products which have been donated by local farmers and smallholders.

Like and Follow our page to stay up to date with our fundraising activities and to find out how you can help us help the children of West Norfolk.
